Foreign man allegedly brutally beats his 20-year-old Thai girlfriend in Pattaya

Pattaya — A foreign man allegedly brutally beat his young, 20-year-old Thai girlfriend while drunk early Tuesday morning, November 22nd, claiming police “got his back”.

The incident took place at a residence in the Eakmongkol 8 Village in Banglamung’s Nongprue subdistrict, Chonburi. Sawang Boriboon rescuers received a call from an unidentified Good Samaritan to help a domestic violence victim and rushed to the scene at 4:30 AM.

 

The victim, Ms. J (name withheld to protect her privacy), 20, was found lying on the ground crying in pain on the front porch of her house. Rescuers administered first aid to the bruises around her body and rushed her to a hospital.

 

Sawang Boriboon rescuers encountered an unidentified Caucasian male foreigner believed to be in his thirties in an intoxicated state at the house. The man was suspected to have beaten the young woman. He was reportedly aggressive as he kept shouting, broke his own property, and proclaimed nonchalantly in English that he was backed up by police, according to rescuers.

Coward, even allowing for alcohol there is no excuse to beat up a young girl who probably weighs less than a wet tea bag.

If she has been unfaithful, or been caught stealing then simply pack her bags and throw her out. That is assuming the house is his.

Can't understand how the cops cannot press charges, assault is assault, end of story, regardless if a victim doesn't want to press charges in my opinion.

 

Ah, if I was a cop at the scene, I would have to report to my commander and chief that the farang ended up in the above condition because he fell of the balcony, and if my commander and chief said it's only a single story place, I would say yes boss, but he walked up the road in a drunken state and entered a medium rise building and fell to the ground, not sure where he fell from or what he was doing there, I just found him there on the ground

Exactly the kind of foreigner no one wants to see here and I hope I speak for all reasonable people. Hope a hefty prison sentence is due and he doesn't pay his way out of it. By naming the victim and not the perpetrator it sounds like their maybe some merit in his proclaimed statement that the Police has his back. Name and shame the coward. If he gets to stay am there are plenty here that would only too willing to make sure his stay in Thailand is a "pleasant" one.

Probably a tourist police volunteer. There are many Russian and Belorussian nationals in Pattaya serving as Tourist Police volunteers.

I do not understand how charges cannot be immediately pressed by the police and prosecution. This is an offence which should be pursued with the public interest in mind. Delaying prosecution gives him a window of opportunity for flight and impunity.

She was packing her bags to leave him due to earlier beatings when he beat her this time.

I'm presuming that under these circumstances that she has no loyalty to him and that she will press charges.

Hopefully, the inmates of the nick that he goes to will be informed of the farang slapping around a young defenseless Thai girl and will be waiting for him with a 'welcoming committee'.

In relation to the police pressing charges the same would apply in Australia and I believe the UK.

If the victim is not prepared to give evidence in court the police will not usually charge the alleged offender.

If the police witness the assault a different situation.

Its par for the course in a world still vastly populated by poisonous patriarchy. LOS being just one nation in this world that rests in such poisonous misogyny i.e. excuses, denies, minimises, covers-up, blames the victim. 

Its up to ALL men to stand up and say not o such violence and if we see any signs of it or the horrendous psychological abuse such immature cowards perpetrate to report and to intervene if need be.

If the fella beat her so badly his hands would be marked, he would have her DNA on his knuckles etc so I agree where is the charging. The above comment by me more than partially explains why he was not charged that night.

He needs some of his own medicine and a clear warning with it that if he ever touches her again he'll get double the corrective dose next time. But men (across the globe) are always turning their backs and looking down and away to this sort of cr@p.
