I wonder if you still think this today?

As Elon said, the value of Twitter is free speech.  Without Elon buying it, the US would be headed to authoritarianism like the UK and Europe.

Nevermind the resale value, it is value to the people.

I deleted my twitter account last week, I think twitter is a drop in the ocean and has little or no impact on anything, it's fast become an irrelevance.

Nonsense.  Tell us where you read this.

Thanks for the link.  I'm surprised as Tesla continually releases data showing how safe their cars are compared to every other car on the road.

It was not clear in the article that the people killed were necessarily in the Tesla or involved with a crash with a Tesla.

This came out recently.  It will be interesting if Tesla comes out with anything rebutting this claim.

While researching the findings, I did find one article that mentioned "occupant." However, as the above article states, it may be that the drivers of these cars are becoming less aware of their surroundings and not that the cars themselves are less safe.

It have a little bit more information here. Seems some media, hype up the factors, and it can seems like Tesla itself is dangerous, but it seems it is more of the drivers who buy and use them. There have been also mentionend the auto Pilot system Tesla have.

This could be more do with the acceleration and speed they can achieve...

If comparing like for like and your 'diesel truck' could accelerate to 100kmh in 3.6 seconds I'm quite sure that the findings would be quite different and 'fast trucks' would top the stats as they are inherently less stable on the roads in the first place.

i.e. More Teslas are involved in higher speed crashes because they can get to such speeds so quickly from a standstill - the same would occur if the super fast Porsche 911's were $40,000 and purchased in similar numbers to Tesla, there would be more crashes involving Porsche 911's.

The stats suggested in the report you read is more a indication of the performance rather than poorer safety.

Also very convenient timing if you ask me. Sorry to say, but we have learned now.

When Norway said no to president Bush when he was going to invade Iraq, there where suddenly alot of focus on bad things in Norway in the few of the biggest magazines targeting potential wealthy tourist for Norway.

It's part of the game

I read the same report and can confirm tesla is doing, indeed have the most Lethal accidents

just google Tesla most lethal and you will find all the links

So we're to believe, cars, Tesla, will kill you, and not the operators of them.  Almost as silly as guns kill people.

People kill people.  No product has ever killed a person, that wasn't first started, operated, or used by a person first.  A person has always been responsible for any product or machine causing death or injury.

All vehicles are safe, if operated legally.  People are and always will be the problem.

Anyone want to bet, what industry makes sure that statistic is headline news :coffee1:

I'm just happy, diesel truck fumes have never hurt anyone :cheesy:

I think the trajectory for the Left is down.  MS is at its all time low in viewership and trust.  Their nonstop lies have caught up to them.

I'll bet the 2028 elections will have very very little input from traditional media.
