Read that they become 'inactive' when temperature is lower than 18C. Doesn't seem to be the case either!

Interestingly, I also used to live on the 16th floor, the mossies would sometimes travel to upper floors in the lifts.

The manager had a little ladder installed, next to the buttons.

so the old bat from pratumnak escaped from 20 floor to 30th floor to get rid of mosquitos...so you think they need a password for 30th floor?

Do you live near the ocean and are there mangrove swamps nearby? if so, they could be sandflies. Those bites in the photo look like that.

I live on the 26th floor...they fly in, quite often "assisted" by prevailing winds but they come both when it is windy or calm.

"in the evening they bite my legs.....i use fan but still they bite me"

Wear long pants and don't open the windows at night. Problem solved.

There is actually some truth to it . Mosquitos are low altitude fliers. In open space , they will not go 10-15 floors up . However , you do not live in a tree , mosquitos can survive elevators and stairs are no issues also . This is still same lvl , might be 100 floors up , but for them , it is like flying on ground floor. They wont enter through the windows i you are high up , but they can go through hallways .

But they can get in a lift to any floor and I have never known one to get altitude sickness. 555

You don't have insect screens on your windows?

I live on 16th FL as well but there are some days they come up, I guess with the elevator.

Do you leave your corridor door open?

A few do, but, it requires extra training and a special "Upper Floor Elevation" permit.  They visit my place on the 10th floor all the time.

Thai mosquito is expert in using the lift........

Never, just the balcony door when I'm out. Yesterday I even had 3 of these beasts in my room!

Seems to defeat the argument that they don't get up to higher floors.

Stowaways, if everyone used the stairs wouldn't be a problem. Had their fill and moved on by the 2nd floor.

Shut the windows, spray mosquito killer in every room, specially in the w.c and laundry areas, also the hate Lavender so if you can plant some.
