Depends if the warranty was extended by the dealer which I doubt.  Porsche offer up to 36 months warranty.

All Porsche models, legitimately imported, have a 4-year warranty.

This is no more than a 4 million baht car in the US or Europe. Hard to have much sympathy for someone who over pays to that extent, simply for the ability to show off and drive a fancy car. 

 

That said, there is no excuse for a dealer to behave like this. Seems as if they feel they are above the law. I would likely resort to remedies other than the law, with such scoundrels.

That does not make it the next year's model, only registered in that year.  When you say a 2021 Porche it is understood to be that year's model -- not when it was registered.  It is fraud.

If it has to be explained to you... then you’d likely not understand anyway. Some people just really like cars, I used to be one of them... I was really into my cars and have spend too much money on them in the past, not to show off, I didn’t care what others though... but just because I really like something... 

The same could be said for watches etc...  If you don’t get it, then you won’t.

US taxes on worldwide income (i.e. including foreign)... regardless of being a US resident or not, he must file annually and he must report all include and it is taxable.  Most banks now require US citizens to give them their SSN and report that back to the US (FATCA).  Thailand is one of the countries that has an agreement with the US.  (most countries you don't get taxed if you are a non-resident citizen)

You’re aware that outside of the cities there are some very nice driving roads in Thailand ?

 

I recall in my younger years here taking a very fast car out on the quiet expressways...   quite fun !!

I think they may be referring to the manufacture year rather than the Registered year or Model Year.

 

i.e. It seems the US guy believed he was paying for a vehicle manufactured in 2021, but in fact it was manufactured in 2020...  (and possibly a year older than he was led to believe).
