Problem is you would have to compete with relatively cheap and abundance of accommodation near potential campsites / RV hook ups. Most people use a car to get there, that they already own. So the rental price per day must be lower than the average accommodation cost for a double room, lets say 1,500 to 2,000 THB. Even without calculating it, can't see this making any money.... Not yet. With more demand maybe

It looks like Suzuki is creating with this car a demand, based on research and now try&error?

Maybe they noticed Thai are more wealthy, but want to have adventurous outing.

There is an increase, looks like, Thai getting out and staying in very cheap tents.

Foreigners know it isnt there in Thailand, so they dont have to look for it.

Bag packing and cheap hostels also once started. Once a guy tried, 18 years ago.

Times change, people do, so today maybe worthwhile. Yeah, competing with low hotel prices, but the concept is new in Thailand and maybe it works today.

Is Thailand ready? Guess not, as they should have way more campings around Thailand.

I dont know if Suzuki anticipated on that.

Ireland has holiday arrangements with horse & carriage, that is a very basic and simple holiday, still today. But my parents did it in 1970 together with us and it still exist. And it is sure not super cheap(1970). My parents had to save for it. 5 people flying in a 2 turbo prop airplane to Ireland (my first flight ever) for moving around Ireland in a horse & carriage. It is is adventurous, same as with a caravan or RV moving around. It is different.

But there is no infra structure on campings in Thailand, so where do you go and stay?
