You could substitute Pattaya for any city in the world in that rant.

Is it a "rant" or it it a clear, honest description of reality?

Back on Topic. For almost 2000 years, moral Apostels have ruled the world, taking their clues from some oriental tribal chiefs. Their belives turned into "Religions". Sadly, it's not the "meek" that will inherit the world, but the "Moral Apostels" pounding the pavement of Pattaya, looking for "sinners". I believe that the "sinners" should arise, sending the Moral Apostels back to where they belong to: Back to the darkest middle age. (Burning some whitches along the way). If possible not in Pattaya. I would miss all the peaceful Sinners. Male and Female.

The topic is you watching too much tabloid TV, which manufactures "expose" <deleted>, such as you have been watching, to be watched by idiots, by the ton.

Said idiots then forget it.

Idiots they be, but they've got more sense than to fixate on it in the way that aged, thin skinned, "can't quite shed themselves of their Calvinist guilt" priapists such as you do.

Get a life.

(I put the Calvinist bit as a special nod to your Swiss heritage, I hope you appreciate that)

Everyone I know is in a long term relationship -with a person a fair bit thinner, but not much better looking, than they could have gotten at home.

Obv, they also prefer a softer personality to the ones who call themselves "feisty" back home (like feisty is a good thing).

The openly proclaiming whore mongers here are and endangered species and deserving of our respect and appreciation.

Thaibeachlovers, is my fave. His brutal honesty makes him the Nelson Mandela of male empowerment. Without that minority of sexual freedom-typles here, I wouldn't look in.

Nonsense, all the women in our family with degrees are from a poor background, they were not reliant on prostitution or falang customers of the same to get where they are.

I remain: Where did the money come from? Please no further fairytales, financed by you.

i too would love to know where you get hundreds of thousands of baht to pay for schooling when you dont even make that in a year.

If you didn't have at least one of these miseries in your life:

-You didn't try hard enough with better looking women

-You didn't make enough money to attract a user

I agree, but most good looking women worldwide aren't good looking after 3 years in a LTR.

Obviously there are a few 'extreme narcissists' that are the exception, but I could never afford the running costs for one of them.

If you want a good looking woman best to start new LTRs after every 3-5 years.

COVID over and Tourism picking up, no wonder that certain European TV Stations feel the urge, that they have to send some camera crew to Thailand to describe the happenings in "Sodom and Gomorrah" once more. Seeing themselves as certified Moral Apostels, aiming to destroy any earthly "Garden of Eden" still available to elderly male Farangs.

What are you talking about? What TV stations? What Moral Apostles?

What do you think those camera men do after work?

Do you remember those hot girls in that bar which we reported about? Let's go there and have fun!

For me it seems many (most) media support the views of their readers and viewer with always the same stories about different countries. And that is what the readers and viewers want. They confirm their existing view of the word - and never learn that there are not only stereotypes out there. Entertainment for the stupid masses.

Those "Damaged Women" and their income, may have put 2 children of her to achieve a university degree. Giving them a future. Not possible with a "factory-job". Those "Damaged Women" still have a nice smile on their face because they have fulfilled their lives destiny. Not possible without Farang Financial input.

first part i agree.

nice smile ... not always... i got some dirty looks from some of these women hanging around pattaya.

it's like they blame everyone of your ilk that for keeping them trapped in that work that they're sick of.

but i will not take sides on this issue because there is a lot of bs in the 'normal' dating and marriage scene.

i had to break up with a girl once because you're only as good as your last paycheck.

and god help you if those fat paychecks don't keep coming in.

go for it, swissie.

you have my blessing.

Prostitution will always have it's defenders and users. There is a dark side to places like Pattaya, behind the neon and the fake smiles lies a lot of drug and mental problems as well as abuse by boy fiends leeching off the women as well as sexual diseases. The laughable excuse is usually they have to do it to provide for their families, they don't- but it makes the customers feel justified in paying them for sex.

There is nothing moralistic or sanctimonious in exploring aspects of the sex industry here. Customers never seem to realise that mostly the girls at best don't even like them, have nothing in common with them and often have to be off their heads to face having sex with them.

It is almost funny when people who obviously would never go with prostitutes know so many details of the bars, the girls and the nightlife. Where does your knowledge come from? Those reports on TV?

How many customers care why the girls do what they do? They do it, who cares why? And how many customers care if the girls like them or have anything in common with them? The idea is to have sex with them. Who cares if we have the same hobbies or like the same music?

I'm guessing their wife tells them.

It seems you want to point out that others are familiar with prostitutes - you would obviously never ever do anything with them.

And at the same time you know the truth about what those girls think.

You must be a clairvoyant to know so much. Or maybe you just don't know what you are writing about.

There are also many Thai moral apostles who, quietly, are involved in all kinds of illicit activity.

Sorry, I've tried not to do this but I have to tell you this very, very important fact, which I beg you to remember. ...

a great slogan to promote prostitution!
never mind the misery of human trafficking.
you should work for the TAT.

You did not answer my question of whether you lived in Thailand and have a Thai family, but I will answer yours. Scholarships, loans, help from other family members and low cost Universities like one of the 35 Rajabhat's. Part time jobs and determination. Funding by prostitution for the poorer is not an essential for higher education, however much you want to believe it is to help justify it.

Due to the heinous nature of the task, the Moral Apostel camera crew has to be selected by lottery.

Isn't 'human trafficking' where women are kidnapped, sold and forced into prostitution while imprisoned?

Not sure I've ever encountered that in a Thai bar in Pattaya!

Most of the girls seem fairly happy and for 300bht the bars let them go.

God all mighty don't go there. Male empowerment is not complaining about something that happened many years ago to all and sundry. Male empowerment is learning where you stuffed up, moving on, get your act together and kicking ass. We never heard her side of the story.

Feisty is good if you want to be feisty. But let's not exaggerate - there are probably more feisty annoying western women than Thai - but there are many many gentle normal nice women too.

I prefer one that will let me have frequent sex with her.

I think it is appropriate that elderly Farangs in Europe do not dare display verbal interest in a younger woman. But that's nothing new. You can still get away with it if you've got game or money but old men going after young women has always been problematic as it should be.

The fact that you can get away with it more in Thailand speaks to the fact that your money is nothing much in Europe but can make a difference in Thailand.

In Europe you work in a factory or 7/11 or on a farm and you get reasonable money and here you don't. That obviously helps explain why there are more prostitutes in Thailand and Cambodia than Europe.

I have nothing against prostitution except to say that the emotions of sex run deeper than we may like to acknowledge so I think it is likely to take a toll on the girl.

The world is how it is so as you say if you treat the women well and they are willing to let you live out the fantasy for the dollars then I concur that participants should be left to do their thing.

I hope Thailand gets its act together one day so the young uneducated, and the lazy and not so smart, can get decent pay and can make a more balanced decision of whether they want to bear the brunt of some old Europeans frustrations and fantasy.

Well, I wouldn't bet my next pay check on the Government doing anything.

Trouble it's embedded deep in Thai culture.

Here we tend to focus on farangs with prostitution, but thats the tip of the iceberg.

The majority of paid sex is Thai on Thai, and they all know that, but still stick to this line that there is no prostitution in the Kingdom.

There is a myth that Thai's like to peddle that it was American GI's during the Vietnam war that created the problem.

Total BS, existed long before that.

The whole Mia Noi culture is essentially prostitution with a weird veneer of respectability

Reddit Purple Pill Debate has several long threads on guys moving to Asia for romance with feminists, simps, red pillers, all pretty civil about east west relationships.

My farang wife says it's acceptable to check out beautiful women once or twice on a sideway glance-basis, but if I go so far as to crane my neck, that's overkill.

I take it the romance isn't supposed to be WITH feminists!

I was shocked at how indoctrinated western women in home country are when I returned after many years overseas. I was describing how my Thai wife would tie my shoe laces and the response was as though I was advocating slavery. I learned pretty quickly not to talk about Thailand at all with western women.

Some seem to equate "friendly" women with being subjugated to evil men's carnal desires. I haven't actually met one to have a debate about it with though.

I gotta ask my wife about tying my shoelaces in the morning.

I think might be met with a slap on the back of the head and 'Idiot man"
