Good heavens, we have gotten old.

In November 2002 I met my future wife in Pattaya (yes, no kidding). Married her in March 2003 with conviction. Pretty and slim she was, as I was.

Some 20 years later she has accumulated several rings around her belly, rivalling my Beer-Belly. No, we don't have sex anymore, as far as "bondage" is concerned.
We have expirenced all the "up's" and "downs" as a mixed couple can experiance over 20 years on European soil. Having gone thru it all.  That's what true "bondage "is made of. Having nothing to do with "original sexual attraction", some 20 years ago

We do not enjoy the fact that both of us are getting older by the day. We should have done "more" together when we were younger. When the clock was ticking a bit slower than now for the both of us.

Sounds familiar in some sort of way?

Always take a look at the Mother. How does the Mother look in her old age? Fat, Skinny, Average. Not 100 percent accurate. But better than nothing.

Well me and Mrs G have been together 20+ years, and like every couple been through our ups and downs.

 

But here we are, and against all the odds still love each other.

 

Seen our kids grow up, and now it's just the two of us.

 

None of us, without the surgeons knife have the body we did 20, 30 years ago, but the older you get the less it seems to matter, or indeed care

 

As for sex, well perhaps we don't go at it like we did 20 years ago, but we still have a great sex life

 

Life has a habit of rushing by and in the wink of an eye one day you're 30, the next day 60+

Gf and I are both in great shape 22 years later, tight bellies. We both diet and work out. She also does yoga. She was somewhat overweight when I met her, so, under my influence, she's followed the opposite course from your wife.

We have it less often than we did, but it's always great. The quality has vastly improved from when we first started partly because she's in much better shape but also because I've learned what really turns her on. She's always loved sex more than the average woman.

 

Every relationship has its ups and downs, unavoidable.

Most old people don't enjoy getting older. However, we've managed to slow the aging process about as much as we can, not suffering any debilitating health problems or loss of mobility so far

If we take care of our temporal conveyance vehicle it can look good, including into the later years.

 

Relationships change with time, love also evolves, passion changes too, but need not die.

 

If one doesn't exercise (it needs to increase [intelligently applied] as age encroaches not lessen), eat well, we eat far too much, and in some Western nations (absolute rubbish), don't smoke, don't drink too much too often, rest, cultivate an attitude of expansion not contraction, taking good care of soul and body or you will get flabby, and slow, very quickly once the 50's encroach.

 

Go and take up yoga (age does not matter in practice), you will be amazed how it will release energy and vitality. I see so many falangs tight and closed up. this is really bad for us.

Go watch a good yoga teachers medium to advanced classes and you'll see 70+ year old with amazing flexibility balance and youthful agility and overall health.

 

If you have the bucks and you and the missus aren't to old and sickly, you could consider the surgery path to have the rolls removed as a way to speed up weight loss then add the dietary changes and more strenuous exercise.

I know folks who ride 50kms (stressful rides), they are 70's and recover easily. Folks swimming a kilo or more with ease, strong weight training etc and they have trim and strong bodies like me ????.

 

There's no time like NOW.

Doesn't matter what the mother looks like.  Chances are the mother never heard of yoga or going to the gym. 

Find a girl who wants to stay slim and attractive and she will.   My slim sexy Russian GF would rather die than end up looking like some fat babushka!  

I also don't understand why so many guys are happy to keep drinking beer and eating too much while their bellies get bigger and bigger!   I work hard to make sure I fit into the same size clothes at 55 as I did at 25.

Difficult to find, however. Most girls don't just as most men don't. They end up enabling each other's ill health, as with the OP and his wife. 

 

My gf was doing nothing about her health & fitness at first. She didn't want to go to a gym. "MAN do that," she said. We've laughed at that statement over the years. Took a lot of work & patience on my part to convince her to get fit. Once she did, she wanted to stay that way, as people do. I also had to work with her a lot on her diet. She may be the only Thai in the country to go low carb.

 

Decades ago, when I came to Thailand as a tourist, I ran across an expat in a bar who told me, Nothing happens in Thailand until you make it happen. Lot of truth in that.

How old are you two now 20 years later? The older you get, the more important what you do in life, eat and drink as well what you thinking, and cultivating in your brain, as well how you look at your woman. 

 

I hope cultivating my relationship to my wife will make us still attractive to each other after my 65 and in my  70'ies while she is in her 50'ies. 

 

When you retire your work for yourself continues in a different way, and no time to relax, it ain't over yet.

40 years with my Thai partner, married for 33 of those years. I'm now 81, she's 66. Still very happy and active together and, most importantly, we are, and always have been, very good friends.

Similar story............... met in August 2006, got married after three days (bit rash some might say?)......she was 36kg and has rocketed to 40kg......I was 90kg and got down to 74kg......still together.

 

She has now cleverly trapped me by buying a three bed house with her own money (we both worked abroad 2006 to 2019) and now makes me live in it for free.....beatch.
