In an unusual turn of events, the bustling town of Krabi, Thailand, was shocked as an apparently inebriated French man disrobed and fell asleep in front of a local restaurant near a vibrant market. The local authorities had to intervene, eventually escorting him back to his accommodation.

 

The incident occurred at approximately 8:00 PM. The Krabi Town Police were alerted by the restaurant owner, who reported a foreign man, apparently under the influence, undressing and sleeping in front of his establishment. Upon receiving the report, the police promptly arrived at the restaurant to assess the situation, reported 77kaoded.

On arrival, they found local residents observing the man, who was asleep on a chair outside the restaurant, evidently intoxicated and disoriented. The man, who was not wearing any clothes, had a single piece of cloth lying on the ground nearby. The police roused the man who appeared startled on seeing them.

They instructed him to cover himself before learning he was a French national, roughly 40 years old, and staying in a local hotel. The officers then transported him back to his hotel. The preliminary assumption was that the man was heavily intoxicated and had unwittingly undressed.

According to restaurant staff, the man was seen stumbling out from the nearby market prior to his arrival at the restaurant, displaying signs of intoxication.

 

Upon reaching the restaurant, his cloth wrap fell off, which he seemed indifferent to, opting instead to sit on a chair outside the establishment.

 

This unusual scene led to the customers hastily leaving the restaurant, prompting the owner to swiftly close the doors and report the incident to the police.

Officers from Muang Krabi Police Station detained a drunken Frenchman after they found him sleeping naked in front of a restaurant in the southern province of Krabi.

 

A restaurant owner, near City Market in Krabi, reported to the police at 8pm on Sunday, June 4 that a naked, intoxicated foreigner, aged about 40 years old, was sleeping in front of the shop.

 

A staff member of the restaurant told police that the foreigner emerged from the market wearing a cloth loosely wrapped around his waist. However, much to the surprise of onlookers, the cloth slipped off as he reached the restaurant’s entrance.

Rather than retrieving his garment, the man nonchalantly proceeded to the chairs and tables outside the restaurant before falling asleep.

 

The employee added that the customers were shocked and decided to leave, scared the foreigner might do something dangerous.
