Always amazes me that 10 or 20 people can understand a post but there always seems to be one or two confused, anyone else noticed this? I guess some lack comprehension!

It not really a confused icon, it’s means stupid.

It's their fallback position when they can't admit that the poster is right. The other one they use is "conspiracy theory" to shut a conversation down when they can't admit someone is right, even thou

Work on it ez, take your time, maybe it'll become clear eventually!

Oh yes. Quite annoying.

Some people get confused at just about everything they read.

Not having the capability to understand simple comments..... humm

As it is said, better be quiet and look stupid, than say something and prove it...

But lately, they can do it anonymously....

That happens only very seldom to my posts. Maybe I make clear statements and ask clear questions.

If people make unclear remarks or ask unclear questions then they shouldn't be surprised if others are confused.

Indeed, there could be some lack of comprehension, the one or two posters could be right!  Remember this is AN.

Just as annoying that some people think that the "Confused" emoji is only used to indicate an inability to understand when most of the time it is intended to indicate "What the f'ck are you talking about"!   Big difference.

agreed....

The original +1 or -1 option was by far the best...

People can either agree with your post or disagree. Some people became too sensitive and became upset when someone disagreed so that option was removed.

The continuation of all that is the 'forum' removing the potential for sensitive members to get butt hurt when someone doesn't like a post - the 'confused' or 'sad' emoji was often used when someone doesn't like your post and you could see who...  some were just trolling others and would post a 'confused' or a 'laughing' (as in laugh at) emoji on every single comment and we could see who, so the 'forum' made that anonymous too.

It all got a bit silly...   Whats wrong with a -1 or a +1 if someone dislikes or likes our comment ????

Keeping it 'simple / stupid' is the best option IMO.

What I have noticed is that during the last few months the use of "confused" and "sad" has multiplied if compared to the time before  just like there is someone who likes to distribute these emojis just for pleasure Even some very normal, not complicated, not offensive posts are endowed with those at times. That is a new trend I believe and might be due to only a few individuals.

I agree that it would be better that you can see again WHO honours the posts with whatever emoji.

Too bad they don't have the nuts or intelligence to say so!

But then we sometimes end up debating with someone we consider an idiot when this quote instead is perhaps the better option....

Post of the day!

Because it's the nearest thing to a "disagree" button for people like me who don't have time/can't be asred to post a reason.

Having a slow day huh?

One of the beauties of human diversity in experience and comprehension is that we are often in different places on these two spectrums at the same moment.

I am totally confused as to why anyone is confused by it being indicated to them that "someone" (who seems to be everywhere) is confused by their confusing post(s)!

Correct. I hit the confused button when a post is either stupid, racist, trolling, conspiracy theorist or anything else that is so stupid it doesn't warrant a reply.

I do miss the rolling eyes emoji :crying:

 This one?

Taoism: shit happens

Buddhism: if shit happens, it isn't really shit

Islam: if shit happens, it is the will of Allah

Catholicism: if shit happens, you deserve it

Judaism: why does this shit always happen to us?

Atheism: I don't believe this shit

But posting a stupid 'confused' emoji, is actually a reply.

So instead of informing the forum that you find something "stupid, racist, trolling, conspiracy theorist or anything else that is so stupid', you just inform the forum that you are one of the stupid ones who are simply 'confused'.

There are not many forums where you cannot see who liked you, or confused you
