Pattaya — A naked British man was arrested after destroying hotel room property in Pattaya. Police are attempting to uncover the cause of his rampage.

Pol. Capt. Kittisuk Suthinitaswong from the Pattaya Police Station was notified of the incident at 04:30 AM this morning, June 25th, and rushed to the scene at the Centara Nova Hotel & Spa within Soi Pattaya Klang 12 in the Nongprue sub-district of Banglamung district, Chonburi province.

At the incident scene on the hotel’s 6th floor, police officers found a British man, 26-year-old Mr. Mccluskey Kailund Taylor, in a disoriented state. He was naked and was behaving erratically, having vandalized items inside his hotel room and then sprayed a fire extinguisher around until the room was covered in smog and foam.

I reckon his phone charger caught fire, he used his fire-extinguisher, distinguished the fire thus preventing the spread of flames and protecting numerous residents of the hotel...  the damage was caused by the power of the extinguisher...    the guys a hero !!!!....

Cheap words. That isn't the cheapest digs in town. Should we all avoid Pattaya because there happens to be prostitution there?

Sounds like reasonable cause for arrest for anyone irrespective of nationality.

Here we go again. Is it fair to say that these kinds of problems are far more common in Pattaya than say Bangkok?

Possibly he was confused by the number of surnames he has.  Obviously people free to use whatever crazy name combinations they want, but even after just one generation (two people whose parents decided to use both their surnames) would mean someone with four last names!

Probably. You'd need to weight the stats for age and income. Bangkok is more expensive while Pattaya is more of a party town. Farangs living in Bangkok tend to be wealthier or still working. This guy is obviously a tourist. The place he is living is not a condo block, it's a hotel with a daily or monthly rate.

I'm sure people go 'nuts' in Bangkok too....  BUT... It just doesn't fit the 'media-mould' quite as well as either a Brit or an Aussie going completely bonkers in Pattaya.

In Bangkok its usually a Thai Love triangle and someone going bonkers that fits the mould.

The Thai media loves nothing more than the repetition within its own echo-chamber....

If he's not 'brit-bashed' in this thread by the end of day, as a community we should start be concerned about his welfare...

And far more common in Thailand than, say, Singapore or Malaysia. Thailand has long attracted the bottom of the barrel. Many reasons for that.

Thailand is less boring that , say, Singapore or Malaysia. Us bottom of the barrel types don't like boredom.

Incredibly unlikely.

The Thai media?   Why pick on them specifically, they're no different to any other media.

I don't really think its Brit hating or bashing, when they do seem to be more in the news for this kind of thing than other nationalities?

Probably not, but reported more in the foreign press due to more foreign media outlets in Pattaya.

Over the last week I think us Brits have lost our crown to the Russians to be fair.

Police are attempting to uncover the cause of his rampage. Some possibilities.

1. Insanity?

2. Being very high on drugs he could not handle?

3. A very poor upbringing, with parents who completely failed, and had no idea what the art of parenting is all about?

4. Alot of unresolved anger and bitterness issues. Nothing 10,000 hours of therapy could not address.

5. He ran out of his meds, or forgot to take them.

6. A total lack of perspective. He is in Thailand. Jeez. Have some fun, like the rest of us, and give the hotel staff a break!
