A naked British man was arrested after destroying hotel room property in Pattaya. Police are attempting to uncover the cause of his rampage.

Drink, drugs, mental issues, g/f stress... etc etc

As a Brit I usually stay clear of my fellow drunken patriots when overseas. That's not to say they are all bad of course but you can spot these guys a mile off. Loud with alcohol usually involved. There is something about the culture in the UK that having a good time revolves around excessive drinking that appears no where else in Europe. With the Irish excepted but they just have a good time rather getting into fights. If anyone asks me where I am from I usually try to avoid the question. My accent is a give away of course so I just say the land of Mancunia. They look at me like a dog who just been shown a card trick but hey.

At the incident scene on the hotel’s 6th floor, police officers found a British man, 26-year-old Mr. Mccluskey Kailund Taylor, in a disoriented state. He was naked and was behaving erratically, having vandalized items inside his hotel room and then sprayed a fire extinguisher around until the room was covered in smog and foam.

Where did he get it?  Is there any more around do you know?

Ganja

Meth, crack, drunk, no meds whatever you want to call it. Unlikely to be ganja.

People often smash up their hotel rooms, I believe they're used to it by now

Personally I haven't. I have got my little screwdriver out and fixed the odd little thing and re-tuned the TV!

The suspect was being detained at the Pattaya Police Station where as of press time he was still being erratic.

Wonder how long  "Press Time"  is after being picked up and arriving at the Police Station??.

So much for the "being a hero" and putting a fire out ????????????????????

Bit of hyperbole.... doesn't look "naked" to me.

Doesn't look like he is in a hotel to me as well... more like the back of a pickup.

More common with tourists...

In my experience its more common with American military and navy personnel staying in hotels. I had a nightmare week where immature Americans were running up and down the hotel corridors tasering each other, banging on each others doors, shouting and crying as their mate had stolen their hooker  !

Let's ask sherlock Holms what made this guy go berserk, maybe be he would know.

Ice baby,ice.

A Sassenack Yob in Pattaya. Why does this even make the news?

Lots of supposition when really no one knows the cause. Has anyone considered a mental breakdown? I suffered for 6-months when I regularly lost it and punched/kicked walls, shouted, and screamed obscenities at the top of my voice until I visited the Mental Health Centre at BPH. I have now been on suitable medication for 2-years and the problem is now sorted.

Hmmm…. Why are all these wackheads naked ?

But if you bothered to read the link.....
After an unsuccessful negotiation with the suspect police officers had to charge the man and make him wear pants before transporting him to the Pattaya station.

Another one that checked his brain into the airport baggage storage upon arrival.

That's a shame !

We were having a run of good luck .

Russian's, Indians getting into bother.

I don't really think its Brit hating or bashing, when they do seem to be more in the news for this kind of thing than other nationalities?

It's the thought of having to go back that does it, that would push my buttons. whatever this going to cost him dearly.

That is something else than Ganja, weed makes you relaxed. Alcohol makes people crazy and the hardcore drugs, not GANJA.

I'm sure people go 'nuts' in Bangkok too....  BUT... It just doesn't fit the 'media-mould' quite as well as either a Brit or an Aussie going completely bonkers in Pattaya.

In Bangkok its usually a Thai Love triangle and someone going bonkers that fits the mould.

The Thai media loves nothing more than the repetition within its own echo-chamber....

My subjective thoughts as well.

Cheap words. That isn't the cheapest digs in town. Should we all avoid Pattaya because there happens to be prostitution there?

For the last Time there is NO prostitution in Pattaya.

By RTP decree.

All he has to do is claim a spirit took him over.  They will understand that.

And far more common in Thailand than, say, Singapore or Malaysia. Thailand has long attracted the bottom of the barrel. Many reasons for that.

hey.. that's Mr Bottom of the Barrel thank you. I didn't work this hard to get to the bottom to be dissed by you lot, geez.

That said, I've never been to Pattaya, they say the women there are scantily clad and their company can be easily acquired for a single doubloon.

...I sadly have no doubloons.   Pirate Emoticon Images - Free Download on Freepik
