A reward of 3 million baht is being offered on social media to anyone who knows the whereabouts of a German real estate businessman, who has reportedly been missing from his home in Bang Lamung district of Chon Buri province, with his Mercedes Benz, since July 4th.

A 24-year old woman, “Phiraya”, who claims to have been living with the 62-year-old businessman, Hans Peter Ralter Mack, for five years, told Manager Online that she filed a missing person report with Nong Prue police on July 5th, seeking their help in tracking down the man, who left home in the Sweet Paradise housing estate in Nong Prue sub-district on July 4th, to meet a foreign broker regarding a land deal on Samui Island in Surat Thani province, and has not been heard from since.

She also said that she offering 100,000 baht for information about what has happened to him, adding that she is concerned for his safety because he has never been away from home for several days.

Phiraya also said that the German has two sons, one living in Thailand and the other is about to arrive in Thailand from Spain.

A 62yo, German, driving a convertible Mercedes Benz, married to a 24yo.

I often read strange articles through the media regarding foreigners living in Pattaya over the last 20 years, the majority of those strange articles don't have happy endings.

Remember 'Good Guys in, Bad Guys out'?  Well maybe he was innocent, but he was arrested for human trafficking of a minor 5 years ago and was still living cheerfully in Thailand as of a couple of days ago.  I guess the Thai police translation of 'Good Guys in, Bad Guys out' is 'Rich Guys in, Poor Guys out'.

Yes, I saw that.

What are you saying?

How many times have you been arrested in Thailand?

Lots of rotten eggs in Thailand.

Like I've always said, the only thing I dislike about Thailand are some of the foreigners.

so they found his car .....   but he's been arrested before in 2018 ......

I'll hazard a guess that the cops aren't letting on as much as they know,  were they feeling a bit short this month and need some substantial support ....   after the support is paid he'll mysteriously turn up all smiles again.

UPDATE:

Police have identified two young women who may have parked the car of missing German in Pattaya
by Carla Boonkong & Pranee O' Connor

Case of the missing German took a sinister turn on Sunday morning with a senior Thai police officer confirming that someone had used a cleaning agent to wipe away fingerprints throughout the interior of the vehicle and even on the outside. This suggests that a serious crime has been committed, raising fears for the German man’s fate.

There are real fears for the safety and well-being of a German property tycoon who disappeared on Tuesday, July 4th last in the Bang Lamung area of Pattaya after a meeting with a fellow German national to discuss potential property deals. On Sunday, his luxury Mercedes Benz E350 coupé was found in the car park of a condominium complex with police discovering evidence that whoever parked it there had attempted to conceal their fingerprints. It has also emerged that police have spoken to a key witness who saw two young women park the vehicle on Wednesday, July 5th last, sometime in the afternoon.

An intense police investigation is underway in Pattaya following the disappearance of Mr Hans Peter Ralter Mach, a 62-year-old property tycoon who has lived in Pattaya for some time and who was reported missing by his family this week.

Funny thing about that brown envelope cliché, I was getting paperwork at my bank and they put it in a big brown envelope and so I said to the teller, "ohhh, brown envelope, dee mak" and pretended to hand it under the counter, and she completely cracked up - I had wondered if they knew.
