As mentioned in other threads so even if they get him to become PM, the idea of a minority government which can't pass anything through the House of Representatives is absurd. How's that supposed to work?

By the same method that he will become the Thai peoples unelected PM.

They'll cheat and lie their way through to success.

No investigation for his watches, which are more serious than media shares. and old man that not even can holds his eyes open and sleeps during sessions.... Democracy in Thailand?? Modern country?? The  land that want the be the leader in ASEAN???

Owning watches is not prohibited. Owning media shares is.

The watches are complete legal unless someone can proof any corruption.

Of course I also believe that it is corruption....but getting an expensive watch is really a minor thing within the usual corruption in politics with 10% usually for every military purchase...

What baffled me the most is that during the July 14 vote, all Democrat party members did not support the Pita democratic alliance.

The Democrats stopped believing in democracy a long tine ago.

ITV last broadcast in 2007, it's a media company in absolutely nothing but name especially when it's license was taken away.

I'll tip my hat to the new Constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
Don't get fooled again
No, no

Yeah
Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss

From the LP Who's Next, very appropriate, who will be next.

Basically just version 2.0 of the junta government if Prawit becomes PM. SSDD

I had to look SSDD up:

https://www.mmguardian.com/teen-slang/ssdd#:~:text=SSDD stands for Same S,new or different is happening.

"SSDD stands for Same S**t (Stuff) Different Day.

SSDD is an internet slang initialism that conveys the monotony of the daily grind. This slang expression indicates that nothing new or different is happening."

Prawit 40

Against Pita voters 188

Plus 250-13

Done.

And then?

Minority Leader under section xy with special power same as during Covid?

Or whatever.

Prawit, Anutin or PheuThai guy have more chances to become PM as Pita ever had.

Pita had never a strategy and failed to get rid of 42.000 shares worth less than 45.000 Baht.

Own mistake and court must decide on existing law.

Exchange rates up:).

Same court that has been unable to come up with a single charge against all those who have enabled red bull to kill a cop and hide in plain sight for years while envelopes were passed out to lots of connected law enforcement and politicians....a beacon of integrity.

Prawit has denied speculation as late as 2 July that they is no secret deal to form an alternative government with PTP. He also gave a cryptic comment that his party has not concluded that they will vote as a block with the opposition MPs. There are rumors that he may vote for PTP Sretha and may influence some senators to come on board to break the impasse. PTP being an incumbent political party has better relationship with Prawit and some senators.

The military and business elite don't care about passing new legislation. They want things to stay just as they are.

Maybe something to that. The generals want to keep their de facto alliance with Russia going. Doesn't get more blatant than this:

Quote

On 15 July 2023, H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mr. Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, in Phuket on the occasion of the latter’s visit to Phuket to preside over the official opening ceremony of the Consulate-General of Russia in Phuket.

Both sides had a fruitful discussion to follow up on the outcome of the 8th session of the Joint Thai-Russian Commission on Bilateral Cooperation on 27 April 2023, which had covered important issues of mutual interest. These included increasing bilateral trade to the pre-pandemic level through trade facilitation and removal of non-tariff barriers, particularly on Thai fishery products; enhancing cooperation in science, technology and innovation (STI), culture, sports, tourism; as well as expressing support for the commencement of negotiations on a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Thailand and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) at the earliest opportunity.    https://www.mfa.go.th/en/content/fmrussia150723-2?cate=5d5bcb4e15e39c306000683c
