On the night of 19th July 2023, at 22:30, Deputy Police Chief, Surachet Engkhasri of Pattaya City in Chonburi led a team of officers on foot patrols along Pattaya Beach.

 

Their primary objective was to monitor groups of teenagers gathered there. The officers conducted searches for illegal items, including firearms, knives, and drugs, in an effort to prevent crime and any further violent incidents among the youth.

This intensified scrutiny came in the wake of recent altercations involving groups of teenagers, some of which escalated to gunfights in nearby areas, reported 77kaoded.

Given that Pattaya Beach is a hotspot for both local teenagers and a large number of tourists, the police are focusing their efforts on ensuring the safety of all visitors by proactively detecting and preventing potential criminal activities.

Enjoying the cooler sea breezes.........it is one of the few places outdoors the daytime sun's heat is not being radiated back.

Awaiting some privacy before indulging in a bout of beach bonking. To maintain a family resort image you need to produce families.

That happens when entertainment venues are forced to close early, and the night-loving Thai youngsters are bored in the wee hours...

Buddah forbid they actually crack down on the parents and make them parent. Teenagers shouldn't be out at 2 am anywhere but.....TIT

They should just have a couple of cops walking the beach every night, no need to come mob handed, searching and photographing everybody trying to enjoy the night. IMO
