Once a week in your 40’s? I could do it almost daily back then.

 

Once 50’s hit, like around 52, it dropped way down. I could even go without now if I wanted to. Maybe I need testosterone. Just don’t need it anymore.

 

Things better pick up soon or I’m just out to pasture.

 

If you’re coming up on your 50’s better enjoy it while you can ????????‍♂️. Ironically that’s the Thailand retirement age ????.

A couple of comments about the opening statistics:

First, I'd love to see some global comparisons.  We Americans may not be typical.

Second, there is some contradiction about the change over time (in addition to the absence of figures for those of us from the silent generation or early baby boom).  The source confirms the idea that the silent gen had more sex than later gens and the decline has continued.  Yet we recognize that sexual activity declines with age. I know many in my cohort blossomed in the 1960s but have gone "silent" since.  But surely I'm not unique in pushing the GF for more sex at 82.  If 90 is becoming the new 40, maybe the 80s  are becoming the new 30s.  You can blame blue pills and testosterone, but the effects they have are genuine.

If you would assume someone to be in a relationship long-term I think it actually makes perfect sense. If you would have 63 times sex per year that comes to once a week on 52 weeks and then in 11 out of 52 weeks you would do it twice a week. 

 

I mean I am just in 30s but when you already together for a few years it does not need to be daily anymore if you ask me. It was different when I was single doing different girls all the time, then it could easily be up to 10 times a week with 3-5 different girls. 

I think trying to stick to the average of near twice a week is more than enough / healthy. If you not sleep with them at least for the average they usually (attempt to) get it elsewhere.

 

But guess it also depends how busy one is, when I had a lot of free time with girlfriends on my hands, it automatically also resulted in a higher frequency. As someone said already the average guys only have 8-14 sex partners in a lifetime, must be hell to not have visited Thailand for some action in a lifetime.

Sex is a primary genetic imperative for men, so yes, they think about it a lot. It's normally not a topic in polite company, but on an anonymous forum like this we can discuss what we wouldn't with our mothers.

Perhaps I'm different, but I wanted sex every day with my partner(s).

When they no longer wanted to do it at all was the beginning of the end for them in my life.

I never needed another person in my life, except for sex, and was quite happy on my own.

Would have been different if I'd wanted children, but I didn't.

Yes i enjoy it. it certainly is an urge that needs sorting.

but if i ignore the urge,  it does subside. but why waste it.

 

Yes i have always been like this. in my teens and up to about 35 sex was

a marathon. i have always been a one shot guy, but can control and last a long time back then.

Really? I thought I was rather backward at a lifetime count of 24. Half of that number here in Thailand. As to the annual count? When I first arrived and had a steady Thai gf it was 3 times a day (making up for a dry spell). Now at 76 I have slowed down cosiderably but if the numbers given are correct I am at least 20-30 years younger!

Those numbers are only for white men that never left the western world.

And IMHO they're way too high.

 

If I'd stayed in the west it would have been 5 partners, and less than 1x a month.
