He hates foreigners and will do anything to make like more difficult for all the visa red tape. If he is nominated, foreigners, expats retirees would be better off to shift to Vietnam or Cambodia.

Definitely a member of the anti-farang contingent.

He argued that if Pakpoom were actually accepting bribes from an illegal gambling ring, it would have been a much larger sum.

And if there is one thing an RTP General knows all about that is bribes, subject matter experts the lot of 'em!!!

tell that to Pita

The PM is the Chairman of the National Police Commission which oversees the administrative functions of the Police Service Commission in charge of personnel management and appointing the police Commissioner General.

So it might have followed that PM Pita was fully aware of the search subpoena in advance (maybe even ordered it?) for Deputy National Police Chief Pol Gen. “Big Joke".

An interesting question as an aside might be why wasn't this investigation and subpoena conducted during PM Prayut's eight year regime?

He also complained over the allegedly over-the-top use of a commando unit with night vision goggles during daytime and high-powered rifles during the search operation, saying it tarnished his reputation.

It seems that there is some kind of " war " going on inside the police force .

Kamnan Nok and the killing of a police officer ... Big Joke had a few similar experiences already ,( his car hit by bullets son yrs ago ...) , some members of the police force ' unusually wealthy ' ..., collecting houses and expensive cars , others involves is some kind of extortions ...

Well , where I live , there is a rich Thai guy who wanted to open a shop on the main road ...The day before the shop was supposed to open , the local chief of police walked in and said : " Hello partner " ... he never opened .

examples of being anti-farang please

I don't know if he hates farang.  But wasn't he in charge of immigration when they changed retirement visas from having money in the bank for 3 months to having money in the bank all year?

Pretty funny to see the Keystone Cops different factions and shady business interests all fighting amongst themselves for power and position..

It would be even better to see the mickey mouse military doing the same, but they're all nicely provided for already, thank you very much. Courtesy of the tax-payer.

Demand justice?!? Does he know what country he lives in? LOL ????

He should demand justice for all the farang that he manufactures roadblocks for. He has no regard for law or due process, he merely wants to make life difficult for those who want to retire here and spend their money in Thailand’s shambles of an economy.

Hard to know much for certain here....but it sounds from various reports like the recent Kamnan Poh house shootings and the aftermath investigation of them stirred up some brown stuff among various rival police factions, including ones led by BJ and Torsak, as of yesterday the newly named national police chief.

The underlying police investigation into this particular online gambling ring had been going on for some months prior... but I haven't seen any detail as yet of just when Big Joke's men and the supposed payoff surfaced into the picture.

So now he is responsible for decisions and actions of the traffic police?  Previously he was making decisions on retirement extension requirements!

The term “roadblocks” should have been “stumbling blocks”, I am not talking about traffic. I am referring to the problems BJ has created with retirement extensions. He has been hammering on

farang retirees for a long time. Another child of privilege with the entitled “Thailand for Thais" attitude. If they can’t run us all out at once, they can make it difficult to stay here.
