A Thai woman met a tragic end as she fell from the fifth floor of her condominium in Chon Buri province. The Thai woman had tried to access her room by climbing onto the roof after accidentally locking herself out.

A Thai man named Nut called for help from officers at Laem Chabang Police Station and Vibharam Hospital Rescue Team when his girlfriend, 23 year old Sa, suffered serious injuries after plummeting from the fifth floor of the condo.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers found Sa lying on the ground in a car park area, along with a damaged motorcycle and a balcony railing. Sa was unconscious, with blood seeping from her ears. The Thai woman was immediately rushed to Vibharam Laem Chabang Hospital but despite all efforts, Sa tragically passed away at the hospital.

Sa’s boyfriend, Nut, revealed that he and Sa arrived at their room on the fifth floor and realised that they had forgotten the key. Nut decided to go seek out condo staff to get a spare key, leaving Sa to wait outside the room.

In an attempt to quicken things up, the Thai woman climbed through the window, walked on the canopy of the window and tried to step out onto the balcony of her room. Unfortunately, the balcony railing was loose and Sa fell to the ground in the car park.

So the blame is again thai safety and construction checks.

Article says she fell from the roof trying to access her room.

It's nothing to do with faulty construction.

Read again, your eyes were clearly closed.

People cant read at all in 2023.

Lousy Thai construction and lackluster safety features definitely contributed to the bad decision to climb onto the roof.

Once you live here in Thailand a few years you'll see rants about lousy construction and lack of safety features are warranted.

Obviously you're still in the honeymoon phase.

Your speaking of a Thai who did it, again you confirm your awareness and intelligence.

neither does the awareness of the quality level construction justify it.

Calm down young lady.

Time to take off your cheap rose tinted glasses and get a reality check.

Mr. Nut shouldn't have guests in his room, so his guest tried to hide.  As the condo staff got into the elevator with the spare ket, Mr. Nut started sending messages to his guest.

Impatient behavior, coupled with dumbness, score a home run.

Bit like the driving and riding in Thailand.  :coffee1:

Come on, the incident is surely caused by the fact she forgot her key and tried to climb in on the 5th floor...... too impatient to wait for the spare key to be obtained. The fact her balcony railing was loose was something to do with her too.

Never trust railings and infrastructure to support you here. They don't seem to be anchored in or made to specs. Could be on anything, a boat, roadside barrier, etc.

Probably, it happened exactly as described.

But I hope they at least investigate the possibility that there may have been foul play afoot.

Confusing reporting. She climbed onto the roof. Then it's reasonable to assume the Condo building is five stories high. To access her apartment balcony she would have to climb over the roof parapet and drop down onto her balcony.

But, the report then says she climbed out of 'the window' walked on the window canopy to reach her balcony.

So, who knows what really happened?

Sloppy reporting and awkward translation from the original Thai language report perhaps.

They may have been dumb. Just not as dumb as the people blaming faulty construction for this.

It's dumb to blame one thing and not the other....  the reality is there was more than one key failure leading to this incident and both are to blame...

1) The girl climbed out of the window and tried to access the balcony.

2) The railing was loose - poor construction & safety standards.
