Damn, I missed that one. Classic comedy.

Watch it before it will be cancelled, or all funny parts removed to make sure nobody gets offended.

I meant I missed it in my posting. I've seen it several times. His "Don't mention the war" would probably be axed first.

# Fargo (all 4 seasons are great, but the first season is absolutely epic)

# After Life (by and with Ricky Gervais - hilarious and at same time deeply human and touching)

# True Detective (with Woody Harrelson, say no more)

I went with three comedies. In no particular order:

Curb your Enthusiasm

Frasier

Still Game

Loved Game of Thrones til they messed up the last few seasons.

Friends and Breaking Bad, excellent too

Star Trek (all of them)

Blue bloods (13 seasons and more to come)

Cheers-where everybody knows your name, 555

I used to enjoy Blue Bloods, but got fed up waiting for the credits to end at the start of the show and just stopped watching it.

Mines are LA Law.

                 The Virginian.

Dallas.  Even allowing for Linda Greys dreadful acting.

I have better things to do with my time.

Mine are all anime ( Violet Evergarden etc ), which would be of minimal interest to most farangs.

Far as western series go:

The ones that I just had to watch ( most of the ITV stuff- Morse, Frost, Poirot etc ) in no particular order.

Blake's 7

The Avengers, but only in black and white, went stupid in colour.

China Beach.

Many more, but the OP asked for 3.

Did you all forget 'Man in a Suitcase'?

That was a great series, along with many similar.

The Prisoner was interesting if somewhat barking. McGoohan was a great actor but never, IMO, sufficiently recognised as such.

Zorro (1957)

Firefly (2002)

I liked Firefly, but mainly for the cute girl.

How about Dr Who? Patrick Troughton was IMO the best Doctor, and his sidekick Wendy Padbury had to be the cutest companion.

Currently:   Dad's Army, Allo Allo and It Aint Half Hot Mum. Not for the woke brigade.

The woke wouldn't like it up them, for sure. Great series. The American alternative, MASH started off well and very NOT PC, but eventually went woke, like most long running American sitcoms.

I never liked It aint half hot at the time, but later on more so. Never liked allo allo.

Game of Thrones

24

The Honeymooners

Burn & Allen

Amos& Andy

24 was an excellent series. I have all the DVDs, but doubt I'll get to rewatch them again.

LOST was excellent till the ending which was a monumental fail.

I loved St Elsewhere, and that series started many well known actors careers.

I bought my first VDO recorder at HUGE expense so I'd never miss an episode of Hill St Blues.

Mary Tyler Moore show- loved it, along with millions.

Space 1999.

Battlestar Galactica- NOT the original series.

Edge of Darkness

Peaky Blinders

The English Game

In the Comedy stakes:-

Only Fools and Horses

The Two Ronnies

Fawlty Towers

Edge of Darkness- has to be the best series ever put out on British TV. I watched it on tv when it came out and again on DVD more recently- just got better, and not dated at all. Baker was excellent as the crazy American and Peck could not be bettered.

Then Gibson made a rubbish movie out of it.

Just scrolling here , it seems no one mentioned mine :

Prison break

The Sarah Conner chronicles

Young Sheldon.
