I totaled my car, now what do I do with the license plates and the blue book?

Featured Replies

Hello, I was in a car wreck and totaled my car and now I need to dispose of it as it's unrepairable.  What do I do with my license plates and my blue book? A car shop that did the repairs on the the car said that they could help me sell the car for junk but what do I do with the license plate on the car and the blue book?

Thanks

I wasn't aware that there was such a thing as an "unrepairable car" in Thailand, no matter how much it has been mangled.

The Insurance companies don't like paying out for write offs. its cheaper to repair it even if it's scattered across the road in a thousand pieces.

So what happened?

I had only liability insurance.  Crossing a dangerous intersection at night at a flashing yellow light into the center when I got hit by oncoming car who could have swerved out of way (in my opinion) because no other cars around and didn't seem to hit his brakes and so me a full speed.  Unfortunately my car is equipped with the blackout windows so I couldn't see ****.

When my car was written off, no other vehicles involved, 2nd class insurance, sold it to the recovery company, just signed the transfer papers and gave them the green book.

Good cautionary tale.

I ended up scraping the aftermarket tint film off the windows (and especially the windshield) of my Mitsu pickup truck because I just don't see that well at night any more.  The truck was nominally warmer during the day, but much safer at night.

That tint can be removed you know, and side windows can be lowered.

Were you sober? Playing with phone?

I've never met you. Lucky for me as you are abusing someone for no reason which shows something missing. I can't even recall seeing your name before even.

So well done. You got noticed by posting abuse which sums up what kind of person you are.

Then he runs away. How typical. Seems to common. Abuse some stranger for no reason then run away.

I would break the car for bits and keep the number plates and book as a reminder, but they could be useful to someone who wants to put a restored vehicle back on the road, what is the age make and  model of the vehicle

As you can see from the emoji reactions to your post the unhelpful , unnecessary, snide comment you made suggesting he might be drunk or on the phone was perceived as such  by others too. You have form for this ,but as usual you like to dish it out but can't take it.

No I just asked a question as most crashes are due to driver error. I can see you are an angry person. Your problem not mine.

Mail them to the local DLT. They sure as hell won't go to the trouble of mailing them back. If they do, then move.

Whomever buys the car (for junk or whatever purpose) gets the plates and the book.

No I just asked a question...

But your "questions" (which many would perceive as rhetorical) where dripping with gratuitous innuendo.

That's all you've got?  A lame attempt at a doxing insult that doesn't insult me, or work in any way, because I've made no secret about it.

Normal questions if car smashed up. Hard to crash bad sober unless fast.

You aren't worth much effort.

Err...why do you think ASEAN NOW is providing that facility next to each comment? Your implication therefore is that the very many using that facility in the way it is designed are pathetic, quite a wide ranging damnation of fellow posters,eh ?

That hole getting deeper,big Nok...?
