Maybe I'm jaded, but thought it was pretty average, and quite frankly, a bit silly.

I'll watch the first episode and see what it's like.

I'm with you.

I know it's meant to be entertainment, bur having a 5ft 5inch woman beating up assassins is a bit rich.

She also speaks several languages, was offered a scholarship and just happens to look like a catwalk model.

I gave it away after episode two and that was one too many.

It wasn't too bad, and decent time killer.  The fight scenes, few physical one there were, were fairly realistic.   First against 2 other females, which don't want to give it away, but she actually lost that one.

Another was quick against a man, far from a muscle head, and also quite realistic.   Gun scenes are silly, especially the one.  Plot line has a twist as spy thrillers do.

Nothing spectacular, but not bad either.  Nice change, slight, from the zillion cop/detective shows.

Are you saying cute women can't be intelligent ?  And size, isn't as important in a fight as intelligence and experience.  Plenty of martial art fighters take out boxer larger then themselves.

The Radleys.

The premise is great. A family of vampires who have abstained but then everything unravels. The reveal to the children that they are vampires reminds me of the Russian spy family in the wonderful series The Americans.

The Radleys has many funny and enterertainimg moments but overall felt kind of flat. More meh than wow.

But don't miss The Americans.

I didn't say that.

What I said was "she has off the charts intelligence, looks like a model AND is able to beat up trained assassins".

Happens all of the time.

I guess I have different expectations.

I stopped watching series and movies more than a decade ago for such reasons.

If one wants to continue to live in an unrealistic dreamworld, then enjoy your VoD.

Everything doesn't have to be realistic as they aren't documentaries.

But when things go to the ridiculous, Its time for me to turn off.

For some reason I got an urge to watch one of the original Clint Eastwood spaghetti Western movies, so I downloaded, "A Fistful of Dollars" and luckily it was a remastered version, so the quality was good, and it was reasonably enjoyable as a way to pass the evening.

But I do long for a good enthralling movie (not CGI or Spiderman type) and although it has been panned by another poster here, I still believe the Bruce Willis movie, "The Jackal", or "12 Monkeys" or indeed "Law Abiding Citizen" or "Shooter" will be worth another viewing for me.

If you haven't seen Pale Rider or The Outlaw Josey Wales, both are highly recommended.

Weekend in Taipei, great movie, has everything, action, romance, car chases, kung fu, and filmed on location in Taipei (a little bit of it anyway). Luke Evans is okay but Gwei Lun Mei really shines.

I've just finished watching season 1 of Ellis, which was recommended by one of my mates, and it was good IMHO. It's on TGx.

Worth a look.

Excellent!

Other Eastwood flicks remember from way back when, Two Mules for Sister Mary, Hang E’m High and For A Few Dollars More and not to mention the obvious Good, Bad and Ugly

Once nice thing about being old, you get halfway through a movie before you realize you've seen it before, but you still don't know how it ends.

High Plains Drifter is one of Clint’s best imho, was going to write a little about the plot but decided against that. If you watch it you will remember it early on as is one of his most memorable story lines, again imho.

Only 3 but each one is 1 1/2 to 2 hours long.

Just  watched:

Black Doves. New TV series, only 6 episodes.

Juror 2. Latest movie from Clint Eastwood.

Both very good.

Unforgiven is a movie I keep going back to, especially the last scene. A lot of great dialogue

I thought it was better than series 1 TBH.

Men are designed to be punched in the head multiple times, women not so much. You can have all the skill in the world, and it won't matter if one hit puts you down.

You're right -- I should have said his first Western. "Misty" was a good movie, though. Another good non-Western was, I thought, "Tightrope" although it doesn't get talked about much.
