Are you claiming that Biden didn't "boast about running up the deficit"? I watched it and he certainly did boast a lot about spending other people's money. Given that the US is apparently broke, it would add to the deficit.

Has it ever been any interest to you that the USA does not include any of the basic living expenses when they put together their percentages...?

Your post is not clear. What do you mean, in a more analytical way?

In the link, they use CPI and compare with other countries. I haven't checked how each country calculates it, but for the ones I know, It's the same method. So the comparison is valid.

That was also exactly the same calculation method used when you (or other posters sharing the same view) bragged about "Trump's" low inflation in 2019.

You should come up with an actual thought rather than just read fake news headlines.

Thanks but no thanks to you opinion as long as majority of Americans had positive response to Biden’s SOTU address.

https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/4518673-majority-of-americans-had-positive-response-to-bidens-sotu-speech-cnn-poll/

From your own link:  CNN noted on air late Thursday that the poll was conducted among speech watchers, not of the overall electorate. The sample leaned more Democratic than the public is at large, but it’s typical for more Democrats to tune in when a Democratic president is delivering the State of the Union, as it is for Republicans to watch the address when a Republican is president.

So, a CNN poll, admittedly largely of lefty participants says that Biden got a 30 minute feel good bump from a fiery speech.   I'll bet he lost that bump and more the next day when even the Dem Elite turned on him for calling Laken Riley's alleged murderer an "illegal".  Rather fickle, those lefties...

The only thing that would even cap that is if CNN came out and admitted they only polled CNN listeners.  Which wouldn't surprise me, given their journalistic integrity.

It looks like the topic of Biden's masterful SOTU address has you scrambling to change the subject.

Yes, from the aspect of peddling a big pack of lies, it was truly masterful.

All politicians lie to some extent.

Biden's predecessor lies like you've never seen before.

I do understand from the OP that the thread is also about contrasting Biden to Trump and their attitudes to dictators.

Seems the OP has mischaracterised Trump as a 'strongman' in light of his proven fawning and weak-kneed-ness with Putin et alia.

Obviously by yesterday's SOTU performance of direct confrontation with dictator Putin and wannabee Trump, Biden is the real 'strongman'.

This imagined fawning and weakness is in your own troubled head. And who the hell is "alia".

Biden is as strong as paper plane in a gale and now most American know it.

Inflation dropping now while unemployment levels showing a healthy pull back allowing  a rate cut soon. MAGA talking points are drying up.

It is not falling any more. Rate cuts are like cans being kicked down the road. Bidenomics is a myth.

You are so dishonest. Have you read his whole speech. Where in his speech did he said he hate those who don’t disagree with him. In fact he was amicable and politely ask for all to join together and defend democracy. This is the extract from his speech.

As I’ve done ever since being elected to office, I ask you all, without regard to party, to join together and defend our democracy!

He asks this but wants it for free and doesn't know how to achieve it.

Biden MUST build on the momentum of his massively successful speech. He doesn't need to run around and do Mussolini style tiki torch rallies like his maga fascist Putin Orban loving opponent, but he DOES need to be out there fairly often, all over the country, and continue to show the voters the version of Joe Biden they just saw. In other words, the WINNING a second term version.

He does have reasonable leeway to actually be president though and that's the way it is for any incumbent. You need to do the job and campaign simultaneously. Exhausting? You betcha.

Massively successful? Yes if you grade it on number of lies told.

The best part of your posted link was :

'Assuming he doesn’t lose a step in the next 8 months, last night President Biden re-established himself as a credible alternative to former President Trump. Sharp, feisty, confident, competent, watch for the polls to move Biden’s way. He ain’t dead yet'.
