Pattaya —A Thai woman denied stealing a credit card from a Chinese tourist in Pattaya to buy gold chains. The woman alleged she instead almost got raped by the tourist.

On March 21st, 2024, Ms. B (pseudonym) complained to the Facebook page Sai Mai Tong Rod to counter a claim made by Chinese tourist Mr. Mu Dihui Wu Dihui, 33, that she stole the tourist’s credit card to buy gold jewelry and then ran away.

Ms. B’s version of events totally differed from Mr. Mu Dihui’s. She stated that the Chinese tourist actually gave her the credit card to purchase gold, and she then exchanged it for cash at the gold shop. Ms. B claimed she gave all the money back to Mr. Mu Dihui, however, Mr. Mu Dihui allegedly attempted to rape her. This forced her to escape and seek help from a nearby motorcycle taxi driver.

Mr. Nid, the motorcycle taxi driver, told the media that Ms. B appeared distressed when she approached him. She stated that Mr. Mu Dihui had taken her phone and was trying to intimidate her. Mr. Nid then assisted Ms. B in purchasing a new phone before she left for Bangkok without filing a police report.

A classic case of "he said, she said".   Or, "there's his side, her side and the truth".

Ok, I know the police may not be the most dependable characters around, but who on earth would do that!? Does she actually expect anyone to believe her? That would be one incredibly bizarre story if true...

I'm calling her story rubbish. And how come she gets a pseudonym but the poor old Chinese guy with the ridiculous name doesn't?

Sounds like a very credible witness free of any ulterior motives.

The gold shop proprietor should be answering some questions. Why would he accept the Chinese man’s credit card presented by a Thai  lady?
Not only in this instance but , I think the gold  shop proprietors should be more responsible in accepting gold chains, jewelry etc for cash.  Most of it is stolen or suspect

I reckon she "borrowed" the credit card only. 🙏

Or the 'I having my period' defense thinking back to that excuse used by a Russian woman who kicked a Thai woman and fined 500 baht.

are the people now forced by the police to wear shirts with their Name?😃🤣🤣😊🙃🙃

so the gold shop did not check the card ?  she bought gold and instantly resold it ?

or is this another lost in translation garbage reporting ?

In my opinion: a chinese scam that went out of agreement: |plot something like this :::" we buy gold with my credit cards, get money, I claim you stold my cards  we split the money" ... butnow I wanttokeep all the cash..

Luckily, she had enough money to buy an original designer shirt.
