Have you heard how the successful bloke pronounces "Pattaya"?

He has three versions and they are all wrong. How hard is it?

I see he has a Russian wife, must be expanding his dating agency.

No fool like an old fool.

Apparently the man in question is a retired judge from the UK.

But of course he being a retired judge could still be a fool as you mentioned.

What are you on about?

Not a single negative word in my OP about Dan.

It is about a divorced Brit who came to Thailand and put a house in his wifes name. And Dan explaining why he thought it was a terrible idea and also explained that they all think "but my one is different"

Oh, I can see why you were triggered by it.

Good morning Goaty, oh, afternoon, well to be honest I was sort of thinking about your "Dan" trilogy, for some reason, he and Brits come under your regular attack here, but I must admit it does make for some amusing banter......😉

Oh, a Brit cannot put "his" house in his wife's name, any house/land bought will be in his wife's name anthoooo, but if he bought it during marriage he has a 50% claim on it..🤗

Exactly, "Dan" is just regurgitating hearsay from an estate agent in Pattaya.

Probably, but Goaty likes him, or did,  I can tell by the continuous Dan threads...😘

There is no way the man is a retired judge.British judges are very well paid and enjoy excellent pensions even after a relatively short time on the bench. Most have been high earning barristers before being appointed judges.More to the point (and I'm aware it's a generalization) they are highly educated - typically public school and Oxbridge - and pillars of their communities.Socially they tend to be upper class or upper middle class with the cultural interests that implies. There is no way these people would be attracted to a Thai resort built on prostitution and populated mainly by lower class expats and their Isaan farm girls, many tattooed and obese and (even those purporting to be different,) speaking in cor blimey accents and pursuing the interests that chavs and pikeys have everywhere. It just ain't going to happen.Former judges can be as sex obsessed and kinky as the best of us, but they are not going to be fishing in Pattaya waters.

My guess is that Dan has got a bit mixed up and his guy had some kind of legal auxiliary role.

That's a pretty heated defence of retired British judges.

Both houses of British parliament are chock-full of those aspiring to the higher echelons of society where their predilection for cross-dressing or feeling up blokes in men-only clubs while rubbing shoulders with respected members of the British judiciary who themselves are a little bit pished and slumming it while wearing their girlfriend's thong underwear and an aubergine stuffed up their jaxi.

Some of my best friends are judges said nobody, ever.

One of the two possibilities are mixed up wouldn't you say?

The pillar of the class system  is a judge you say. Just depends who the judge is forgive the pun

Well mostly i am sceptical about this claim because his dating site has about 5 women in total. If 40 per day were writing in i would think that there should be thousands.

You had better check that mate.

When you went to the Land Office with your wife you were asked to sign a form in Thai writing.

That form clearly states that your wife owns the whole house and you have no claim on it.

You can not read Thai and Issan wives rarely actually tell the farang the truth about what they are actually signing.

Go and ask her now if you dont believe me.

Well, I don't have a Limited Company to live in a house in my name only.....😉

But we did buy it when married, so I would have some sort of claim on my outlay on this house.

Been in it 17 years now.....🤗

Does it matter in what part of Thailand a lady comes from, or where I wanted to live, to you....?  :ermm:

@Goat

Why do you keep yourself busy with things you have nothing to do with?

I had a break for 6 months from the forum, and you still doing exactly the same posting you did 6 months ago, and who knows how long before that.

Are you okay? Life is good to you?

By what metric is a bloke walking around Pattaya while yacking loudly to his phone on a selfie stick deemed "successful"?

There used to be a couple of posters on here who knew a website that estimated the revenue stream of various YouTubers, Facebookers, TikTok'ers, etc.  They estimated based on the number of views, country, etc.

I never really cared enough to make the effort myself, but it was sometimes interesting to see that some nimrod was pulling down big bucks on what I thought was a hobby at best.

Dan is a brave man to make videos on social media with a speech impediment as he has.

I don't understand his motive for the way he denounces Thai women

Must of got ripped of by one.

Seems reasonable that a  judge swings in the pendulum effect from light skinned, prude probably 70kg to animal sex and under 45kg.  Maybe to him 20 m baht is nothing.

As for Dan. I never finished watching the first video i started.

Many of you old farts dont realize some of these YouTubers have more reach than the major news outlets.   That old ad revenue that went to the major tv stations now goes to many sources.

I've read it depends on many things, topics , country, etc but  some tubers make 5k USD/mil views.

Most of you have heard of only fans, YouTube ,pornhub but not twitch.  But its where most of the young people get their news and are influenced.   I looked into it for a spell to try to understand it.  Several years ago some twitch broadcast, gamer championships or such had more viewers than 3 big US news organization combined.  And those numbers would hold for the entire 3 day tournament.  Its a new World.

Those nimrods taking the world's gormless on virtual tours of WS and Soi Chaiaypoon are NOT "pulling down big bucks" on YouTube.

I think where men lose their frikkin minds and any common sense is when a divorce goes badly, they visit Thailand meet the first pretty girl who shows them attention, the frontal lobes become dormant, and the little brain takes over

That's not it. They probably, like many ( ? most ) western men born post WW2 never met a woman that actually paid them attention longer than necessary to get them ringed. So when they move to Thailand and meet a Thai girl that does, they think it must be true love.

I actually thought that from my very first Thai rental, but I left and went back to work before the conditioning set in so was able to resist selling all that I had and buying her a house, a car and paying the vet fees for life.

You can add British Doctors to that. In London when I found out a Dr I worked with liked Thailand I thought we had something in common, but I wuz wrong, biggly. I doubt he ever strayed from the environs of his 5* hotels and resorts and would certainly never pass the curtain to a gogo bar.

Given I never stayed in a 5 * anything in LOS, we didn't have much to talk about, after all.

However, I think I got more out of Thailand than he ever did, so his loss.

You could but doctors are a far more disparate group than judges.

Him living it up and you paying for prostitutes.

Yeah, that doctor sounds like a real loser mate.
