An Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner en route to New Delhi was forced to turn back to Hong Kong on 16 June, after the pilot reported a suspected technical issue mid-flight. According to the Hong Kong Airport Authority, flight AI315 declared a “local standby”, indicating a precautionary return due to a possible fault. The aircraft landed safely at Hong Kong International Airport at around 13:15 local time. The nature of the suspected technical issue has not been disclosed, and no injuries have been reported. Air India has not yet issued an official statement regarding the diversion or the condition of the aircraft. Passengers on board were disembarked following standard safety procedures. What am I missing here? I happily pay a little more for Grab or Bolt than a taxi using the meter would cost. Trying to find a taxi that will accept a destination and agree to use the meter is a real headache want wastes a lot of time and effort, leading to frustration. -

Crime Dog Dispute Turns Deadly: Vietnamese Woman Arrested After Fatal Altercation
Picture courtesy of VN Express In a shocking turn of events in southern Vietnam, a dispute over a dog left one woman dead and another facing serious legal consequences. The incident occurred in Vinh Long Province, where 47-year-old Nguyen Thi Cuc was arrested on Wednesday on charges of "intentionally inflicting injuries or causing harm to the health of other persons leading to human death." The tragic episode unfolded on the night of June 8 when Cuc approached a neighbour's house to express her irritation over their dog defecating in front of her property. This seemingly minor dispute quickly escalated when the 65-year-old neighbour and her daughter confronted Cuc upon her return home. What started as a verbal argument soon descended into a physical altercation. According to the preliminary police investigation, tensions flared and the elderly woman grabbed Cuc's hair, pulling her head down in a tense struggle. In response, Cuc struck the woman on the head with her bare hands, resulting in the woman losing consciousness. The injured neighbour was urgently taken to hospital but, tragically, was pronounced dead upon arrival, marking a grim conclusion to a seemingly trivial neighbourhood spat. This incident has sent ripples through the local community, highlighting the potential for everyday disagreements to spiral into violence, with devastating consequences. As the investigation continues, authorities are piecing together the sequence of events that led to such a tragic outcome, underscoring the critical need for conflict resolution in community relations. The case serves as a stark reminder of the unexpected and severe repercussions that can arise from unchecked disputes. Adapted by ASEAN Now from VN Express 2025-06-16 -

Beach Road Sunset: Five Skint Indian Blokes, One Bird, and Zero Shame
Nothing new, same procedure ever since Indians were able to buy an airfare to Thailand. Incomprehensable to me why Indians come for sex to Thailand, as this can be had for a fraction of the price in India. One must not even go to the "Black hole of Calcutta". I don't understand those kind of sex tourist. -
