Build the worlds tallest building with the worlds worst cranes/operators. Yea sure!!!!

You forgot about the collapsing scaffolding.

Must make a note to not live anywhere in the vicinity where it could (will) fall like all their bridges, rapid transit supports, etc. etc.

And perhaps somebody should educate the PM that NOTHING is built in Dubai or the Emirates without Western (mostly European) technology, period!

So, his asking for "middle eastern" expertise is kindof ridiculous, because it simply doesn't exist!

And within a short time another building will go up somewhere which is taller.

In reality how would 'tallest building' attract big numbers of tourists?

They don't make buildings out of cement.

They don't, my house is made of cement with additives......🤔

Without the cement, there would be no house....🤗

By "cement" most people actually mean concrete. Cement is one of the key components in concrete.

For the record, most modern high rise buildings structurally use steel & glass exteriors. Concrete may be often used in the compression members for the lower stories of multi-story buildings.

Is that like the tallest ever Ocean 1 in Jomtien, that never got built.

No, that was never built because Bruno and Michael spent all the deposits while posing around town in Ferrarris and Bentleys.

Nothing to do with the Thais.

This is a sign of desperation. Many past failing governments/economies have looked to create the biggest something or other. Not a good sign for Thailand.

Okay. And how many of Bangkok's approximately 180 skyscrapers have fallen down because of "dodgy concrete mix"? How many bridges have collapsed? How many mass transit lines have fallen over?

Yes, there are construction accidents just like anywhere, but they are pretty good at making tall buildings here, especially considering the composition of the land.

Dont worry Jo.

It is a positive story.

Many on here are not capable of being positive.

As usual the negative clowns about all things thailand are dribbling.

Thais can build tall buildings well.

Ever been to Bangkok?

Even Khon Kaen has some tall buildings.

As maybe but why, does Thailand need the tallest building, plenty of other priorities I think.

It will be funded by the private sector and create jobs.

It is a positive not a negative.

I will probably buy a condo for myself there for when I am staying in Bangkok.

The only negative are the usual whiners being negative on this forum because they can not get their head around being positive about Thailand.
