British Tourists Involved in Soi 6 Brawl With Guards Found, File Formal Legal Complaint

Pattaya, Thailand – In a viral incident that has made international headlines and drove significant speculation and discussion online, a group of independent contracted guards brutally assaulted British tourists after a furious dispute over a bill on the bustling Soi 6 Pattaya over the past weekend. The attack raised serious concerns about safety and tarnished the family friendly image of the popular tourist destination, according to Pattaya Police.

In the early evening of May 24th, 2024, a confrontation erupted between foreign tourists and a group of contracted security guards overseeing independent local bars on Soi Six as we reported here.

The altercation, which began as a dispute over a bill in a bar in which the victims appear to become aggressive and confrontational with bar staff and security, even with one foreign man shoving another customer out of the bar at one point who appeared to be trying to calm the situation down, escalated into physical violence, leaving the victims battered and bruised. The incident was captured on video, sparking outrage and condemnation.

The video will not be shared in this article as it may offend sensitive viewers.

In particular, footage of one guard violently kicking a tourist in the head while already lying on the ground having been beaten, caused outrage and made headlines across the globe. The guard claimed the victim attacked him first, breaking his nose on the street, which started the fight.

Some speculated that the man was seriously injured, in a coma, or deceased, but none of that was correct as the victim told Pattaya Police today he had managed to walk away mostly uninjured from the incident and return to his hotel.

In fact, the man involved said he even went back out drinking the same night on Walking Street.

For all those folks who walk around with rose colored glasses on it is obvious as shown in the video how much anger and dislike these security guards must have for tourists who come here and drink in

Did they find the bar tabs more palatable there?

are you sure they all walked away ?   one guy went to hospital in an ambulance ?

don't believe all what you see in thai articles.

Why is a street brawl that happens regularly still being talked about?  A fight between thuggish security/bouncers and drunk hooligans is not really news.

Did you even read the OP? That's the guy at the police station that was rumored to be in a coma

As noted in the article "Pattaya police are continuing their investigation, and additional charges may be filed against the perpetrators. It is unclear at this point if the victims will face any counter charges such as for reportedly shoving another customer out of the bar or allegedly breaking the nose of one of the guards."

Don't be suprised if these tourists end up in trouble over this. The video from inside the bar seems to show that they probably have to answer for starting this violence.

They should install a little petting zoo in the middle of 6 so that the kids can play with little baby lambs while their fathers get "head massages" next door.

He's the aggressor, gets a smack, now goes crying to the cops.

Poor parenting, the beating didn't knock any sense into him.

The kick to the head was unjustified (didn't affect him, probably nothing inside that noggin) but some of these low life foreigners need a belting.

OH, well, once the CCTV footage is viewed the cops should show him the door.

Who said tattoos don’t make you tough!

After watching the videos it appears it was the farangs who started it all. They tried to run away without paying one of the bills. And it was for sexual services as well as drinks. That is pretty low.

And then the white shirt farang was goading them for a fight in the street. But he couldn’t fight his way out of a wet paper bag and went down in a heap to the much smaller Thai guy who knew his stuff.

Guess all those tattoos didn’t help his fighting ability.

if you want to start fights you should actually learn how to fight first.

looks like white shirt guy hasn’t changed his shirt after all these days?

For all those folks who walk around with rose colored glasses on it is obvious as shown in the video how much anger and dislike these security guards must have for tourists who come here and drink in the bars.

The run and head kick tells any viewer how the security guy wants to inflict as much injury as possible.

These are local guards who are suppose to ensure your safety when visiting an establishment for refreshments not some hired thugs who want to kill and maim any drunk tourist as they displayed in their action.

There are proper and civilized ways to handle a bar dispute.  Didn't they attend that coarse   ?

But sadly some folks can't see the forest for the trees.

Sack the lot of them and charge & fine the head kicker and lock him up for a year or two.

Can't have them damaging the world class resort reputation of Pattaya.    :guitar:

The writing is on the wall and its clear for all to see.

Because our British press reported it as “Sex tourist refuses to pay bill for sex and ends up in a coma”

Sex, money, violence.
Good clickbait.

Nah, they absolutely love us.
what they don’t like is when you do a bill runner and then pick fights when asked to pay.

I don’t think anywhere in the world would be any different, you start fights you better know how to actually fight.

Younger generation Brits are all showy with their tattoos, but I life plying on computer games has not helped their street fighting capabilities. Those soft boys would not have stood a chance at the football in the 70-90s.

They should be deported for embarrassing us so much.

Well the cops in the first Photo seem to think it is hilarious, as they know who will come out on top of any charges laid, it will be the mafia of the guards IMO.

I think they are there to make sure that the customers don’t run off after having sex with their girls.

They are hired by the pimp (who was a fellow Brit) to protect his girls, not hired by the Thai government tourist department to look after tourists safety.

I hear all those Pattaya bars have been taken over by the Brit gangsters?
Little Britain?
