A Russian national has been apprehended in Hua Hin with a significant haul of illegal drugs

Oh my God, those wicked Russians once again are violating the law in Thailand? They are buying illegal ED visas to stay in Thailand for months and years.

Enough is enough! Stricter visa rules are a must.

Just a bit of personal.

Some nationalities should have mandatory criminal background check from their home country included in a visa application.

Yes, absolutely! Including nationals of Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Moldova as well as United Kingdom, United States, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, Nigeria, Ghana, Colombia, Mexico, Canada, etc.

Sent he drug pushing mutt to the russian front.

that would not be enough punishment for this scumbag.. He really needs to see the rest of his life in a Thai prison. Where he can happily sleep on the floor with little food.

The Thais should give him the one way ticket to hell. This is widely advertised and the example should be set for all that are stupid and take the risk.

I hear what you say, but tbh, if that guy applied for a tourist visa, I’m pretty sure he would get one. And the educational visa requirement is full of holes, so I’m sure he would have that as an option as well.

Point being, it’s easy to get a visa to visit Thailand so they aren’t a panacea to stopping criminals entering the country.

send the rotten scoundrel to the prison and then to Crimea and tie him to one of those Russian S-400 surface-to-air-missiles.

That is quite a haul. Sounds like the Bratva is thriving here. Perhaps a death sentence would be appropriate? Or Thailand could possibly make an arrangement with China, to send guys like this for organ harvesting, or a few decades in forced labor camps? Seems like a win win.
