Allexpress free delivery if you buy today. Hurry up only two left.

That's disappointing, recently I wanted to order tubes of shaving cream there but the minimum quantity was 100.
Since they were only a few dollarscent each, I ordered 200, but it was refused because of too low  quantity.
Can you still follow it....those Chinese.
btw, shipping cost would be 100 usd.

The 2025 budget bill outlines the allocation of 12 billion baht for a new VIP aircraft and 3.3 billion baht for two mid-sized helicopters designated for important passengers.

The only essential activities.

money would be better spent on the Thai people that need it

500 billion baht required for the E-Wallet scheme will come from the budgets of fiscal 2024 and 2025, while 170 billion baht will come from the coffers of the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives. In other words at the expense of the Thai people.

Deputy Finance Minister Paophum said the economic impact of the E-Wallet scheme cannot be accurately predicted just yet.

But no doubt the 12 billion baht for a new VIP aircraft and 3.3 billion baht for two mid-sized helicopters designated for "important passengers" will have zero economic impact. Albeit, save a lot of costs for VIP's.

15.3 billion? Will that include engines?

I think they might've learned something along the way and actually ended up including the engines somewhere down the list..  after the more important bits like a golden <deleted>ter and a fully equipped "fun room".

The 2025 budget bill outlines the allocation of 12 billion baht for a new VIP aircraft and 3.3 billion baht for two mid-sized helicopters designated for important passengers. These additions aim to bolster the Royal Thai Air Force’s (RTAF) capabilities in supporting various training programs and other essential activities.

Intended to replace the ageing Airbus 340 scheduled for decommissioning in 2029, the new VIP aircraft is part of a strategic upgrade. RTAF Commander-in-Chief Punpakdee Pattanakul highlighted the necessity of a long-haul aircraft for vital passengers and emergency assistance during conflicts or disasters.

“Thailand needs a long-haul aircraft for important passengers and for providing assistance during emergencies such as war or disaster.”

The new aircraft would also serve the prime minister and Cabinet members, eliminating the reliance on chartered planes. Recently, the existing Airbus 340-500 was utilised to evacuate Thai workers from Israel and Sudan, demonstrating the practical need for such an asset.

The two mid-sized helicopters would enhance the RTAF’s search and rescue operations and other emergency services. The specific models for the aircraft and helicopters are yet to be chosen, pending budget approval.

Punpakdee added that the approved budget had to be known first before deciding on the models.

This procurement underscores Thailand’s commitment to maintaining a robust and responsive air force, ensuring readiness for both official duties and unforeseen crises, reported Bangkok Post.

oh oh... boys with their toys!

a) Thailand does not need it, it is the goons running it
b) two years ago, if at all, they got a brand-new to from Airbus for billions of Baht which took almost a year to commission the plane in Airbus' facility in Hamburg/Germany
c) maybe the boys in uniform could name those "important" people; this list must exclude the crown
d) how do they intend to finance that seeing the big red figures everywhere with unfulfilled promises of 10,000 Baht per Thai above 16 years of age and they have not the slightest clue how to finance this while no bank would be willing to borrow the money
e) for all the wrong reasons they've tried all funny hat tricks like a tourism landing fee of 300 Baht and scared away hunderts of thousands of non-Thais with taxation hatchets on the entire assets and income of them. This already killed much more foreign exchange coming into Thailand then the above list of toys.

Meanwhile. Because of public outcry. The navy has canceled its submarine order with China and is investing in Sea Walking Helmets. They are getting advice on their use from operators on Koh Larn.😉

Can't expect superiors to rub shoulders with the people who pay their salaries I suppose.

But what about this economic crisis I keep hearing about? Is it over then?

Now we know why they want to tax us all on worldwide income.

I know people don't like comparisons on here but the cost of replacing Air Force One stands at over 90 billion baht per aircraft at the moment and there are still two years to go before it is due to fly.

A scandal....and they are borrowing to money to fly this corrupt bunch of ne'er-do-wells around.

They only borrow some.. But alot of that money may be coming from the new taxes foreigners will have to pay if living here more than 180 days

I wait patiently to see the damage it will cause on people who have families and use that money to support them.

But the news had already clarified needing the extra tax money from foreigners because their budgets are so large.

It’s shameful. The money is needed in education, health and housing as well as reducing inequality.

I would have thought most VIPs had already bought their own jets.

Why buy your own when you can fly for free?

Thai culture dictates that the well off deserve everything because of what they must have done in a past life.

Ergo, the poor deserve their fate also.

Doesn't show much confidence in flying the National Airline.

It's still in billions of dollars worth of debt.
