A Cheap Charlie job

We have gone through 3 stainless steel sinks in the car port due to them rusting, & the size of the hole cant get to fit, didn't fancy removing the top & tiles.

Came up with this idea, we had an old LG washing machine top, then purchased from Mr DIY, 1 tap 130baht, 1 sink outlet 30 baht 1 bowl 80 baht

Looks like an excellent cheap Charlie D.I.Y job to me 👍

Agree, nice job, looking good 👍

Took notice of a free standing SS sink, the other day, out back of the house for 2+ years, exposed to the elements, and was surprised, it looks good, no rust.  Actually 5+ yrs old, as had it for 3 ish years at a rental.

It certainly looks like Cheap Charlie. But if you are ok with that, fine.

I think you did a good job and suitable for the location where you want a sink.

As long it is new it is looking good, please come back in 6-8 month.

If I were you I'd buy some glue, plastic weld, adhesive stuff.

After cooking the chicken thighs, your Mrs is going to place her hot wok in there and turn the tap on. It won't end well.

The tap will go rusty in a short time.

Looks more made for a bathroom than a kitchen.

You need to be sure you buy 304 quality stainless steel sinks or they will as you have shown go rusty .

Looks nice.

What I cant understand is when you say "We have gone through 3 stainless steel sinks in the car port due to them rusting".

We have been using our current SS sink for over 15 years and still looks and functions perfect. Yes, the taps needed to be changed a couple of times.

Yours is obviously stainless steel.  Seems those 3 were just called that by the sales person.

Improvised nicely, I wouldve gone with a white ceramic bowl but hey, if ot works for you, great! 😀

There are many different grades of stainless steel, some will rust others won’t, but they are all stainless steel.

Knowing that there are multiple grades or formulations of Stainless Steel has little to do with working with it. It is easy enough to research and find out for yourself. So CannotBeBotheredToLookThingsUp might be a better change!🤣

I knew I had a piece of inch cement board and a few spare tiles, job started half way through angle grinder stopped quick look it needed new carbon brushes.
Off to the local have it all shop, you have yes.

Job finished just needs a wash down in a few weeks time.
