I've been to Pattaya once with a couple of mates and won't be rushing back, so not everyone fits in with your preconceptions that the only ones who don't like Pattaya are the ones who've never been there. And where I live is an island resort which is far from "boring", but relatively safe from lunatics and ladyboys. P.S. 4 a.m. in Pattaya - what could possibly go wrong?

I doubt they would know.  Probably never even been to Pattaya except maybe as an alcoholic/sex tourist.  Those are the only ones who seem to thing that is all Pattaya has to offer.

Actually the main reason people get mugged is putting themselves in places where they can't defend themselves. Nothing to do with being drunk or stupid, as criminals don't just go after those types but anyone they feel they can attack and rob without taking unnecessary risks to themselves.
