Guess again, my ancestry has no taint of Sassenach blood.

It's said the British did not rule the world by being nice. It's good to see you are carrying on the tradition.

There were definitely problems from the Democrats. The difference this time around is that Trump won by overwhelming electoral and popular vote so it just didn't matter

He won and achieved a majority, but a closer look shows that it is not "overwhelming".

68,060,409 votes (47.6%) Democrats v   72,721,684 votes (50.9%) Republican. Achieving 0.9% more than 50% is  a very slim majority.

In the  swing states the Republicans achieved  50.5% - PA,  49.8% -MI, 49.7% WI,   51% -NV, 50.7% GA

This was enough to win the election, but it is not a decisive majority.

Fortunately, the Democrats are not filing lawsuits and claiming a steal. The Republicans won a tight election. In 2 years time, the Democrats will contest the mid terms and we will see if anything changes. They usually do. The American voter is angry and fickle.

I'm not sure why everyone is saying he is a dictator or fascist, he did have a prior term that he tried very hard to have a dialog with the real dictators. I'm not sure why that is a bad thing, even though they are bad rulers, why be antagonistic towards them? try diplomacy first. Nothing really bad happened during his first term, the world didn't end, and he didn't create internment camps for liberals and other nonsense. My house more than doubled in value, as did my investments.

For the record I didn't vote for him or Harris, I voted Independent as my preferred candidate didn't get the nod (Nicki Haley).

I notice the dollar has gained versus the Baht, so that is good news for us. Give it a chance.

You obviously know very little about trump and his style of diplomacy. Your given credit to tge wrong person. Selective memory at work

Indeed, and in favour of a narcissistic crook, who advertises himself as a successful businessman. They have done so because they believe that he will leave them with a few more bucks in their bank account. Overlooking that the world as we know it might be gone once this unstable, loud, uneducated "leader" leaves the white house.

"Money first" and isolationism are just dumb.

So Harris received 68 million and  Trump received 72 million.  Final?

In what was most likely the largest turnout of any election in recent history.

The final data has not been released, but it looks like voter participation was less than last election.

If the US population increases every 4 years, it is expected that the number of voters will increase too. The total number of votes is relatively meaningless if voter participation decreases.

What you haven't taken into account is the level of cheating that DID go on. Dozens of drop boxes set on fire and all the usual shenanigans. If that hadn’t gone on the win would have been huge.

With all that's gone on and Trump having won, the Dems daren't file any lawsuits or Trump can easily expose them. He almost certainly will any way. He is determined to stop the fraud and he will.

Did you know that every counting centre has had the National Guard and a cyber security team placed there throughout this election.

There is no evidence to support your claim of cheating. Please give it a rest or are you now going to also  insist that the bogus videos  issued by Russians are legit?

Well, in a way you are right, as the Trumpist's  definition of "leftist" starts somewhat to the right of Margaret Thatcher.

And I can't send a video of my meltdown, I am in Bangkok now and it resulted in plenty of sixties like good sex.

If you are referring to January 6, 2021, you may be confused. The government elected in Nov 2020 had not yet taken office, and so couldn't have been "overthrow[n]".

Why? I think voter turn-out is at about the highest in over 100 years?

Since motor-voter I think the are a lot more disinterested, under/mis/dis informed people voting.

If people and happy with the status quo, why is it important that they vote?

Something for the Republicans here on their new leader....🤭

The other night I watched an interview with John Bollton. Now he knows Trump inside out, and strangely he said what I thought, and confirmed below.

Last night I watched an interview with Diane Francis, Senior Fellow with the Atlantic Council's Eurasia Centre, she says much the same, this interview is a must watch, from both sides of the political divide, oh, except perhaps dinsdale, he will not understand it.

Be sure to watch it all..😉

Can you stop that crap about no wars please. Trump bombed about 6 countries during his period of being in charge.

Name them?

Biden? As soon as he took office in 2020 he bombed Syria without out any congressional approval & many times since.

How close were we to WWIII with Biden & Harris? Closer than ever before evidenced by the  Doomsday Clock

"On January 24, 2023, the Clock was moved to 90 seconds (1 minute, 30 seconds) before midnight, the closest it has ever been set to midnight since its inception in 1947."

So yeah much more peaceful under Trump as he was actually capable of a prompter free discussion with other world leaders.

Strange; from the 2020 election to this one, there few 15,000,000 million fewer ballots cast.  And we were told the 2020 election was the most secure ever…

Of the 46 occupants of the White House, only one of them has been Black: Barack Obama. There have been no women. Victory for a Black woman was always against the odds.

Biden is the 45th person to serve as president, not the 46th. When Trump takes office he will also be the 45th person to serve as president.

Here's a clue: 22 and 24

I know what you mean. This is just some interesting trivia that many people don't know.
