Thailand's Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra shared her congratulations to U.S. President Donald Trump on his recent election victory. In a statement posted online, she expressed optimism about strengthening the long-standing alliance between Thailand and the United States, aiming to enhance regional prosperity in the Indo-Pacific.

In her message, Prime Minister Paetongtarn said, “I wish to congratulate President Donald Trump @realDonaldTrump and Senator JD Vance @JDVance for the victory in the U.S. Presidential election. I look forward to working with you to advance Thailand-U.S. long-standing alliance for the benefits of our peoples and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region.”

She continued in Thai, reaffirming her commitment to cooperating with the new U.S. administration, saying, “I am ready to work with President Trump and Senator Vance to further strengthen our nations’ enduring partnership for the benefit of our people and for the prosperity of the Indo-Pacific region.”

The Thai leader’s comments reflect the importance placed on the diplomatic ties between the two countries, which have been allies for nearly two centuries.

Her remarks underscore Thailand’s interest in a stable and prosperous Indo-Pacific region, aligning with shared goals between the two nations.

Prime Minister Paetongtarn’s statement has been well received by both local and international observers, who see it as a signal of Thailand’s dedication to fostering close ties with the United States under President Trump’s leadership.

The renewed focus on regional stability and mutual prosperity reinforces Thailand’s role in supporting economic and security partnerships across the Indo-Pacific, reported Siam Rath.

Dear pm just be carefull when you're in bed with the China he won't like that go on your independent way and don't listen to the elites you'll be fine

Maybe she should suggest to Donald that he make his daughter Ivanka vice president to she could "step in to fill his shoes" just like the PM did here for her daddy Tony Tiger when time or circumstances might change

Is Thailand one of the sh1th0le countries that Trump once referred to? There are a few illegal Thai immigrants in the US. I hope the PM is ready to welcome them back.

She congratulates Trump an elected person and election winner.

Something she may aspire too but never achieved.

If the statement in the OP is correct, then her lack of diplomatic skills is showing. As of now, and until 6 January 2025, he is not Presient Trump but President-elect Trump. President Biden is still the incumbent of the Oval Office.

But she is only PM because of her father so she did not need to learn diplomatic skills, apart from knowing when to run.

Pretty sure he reminds her of her Daddy.

Unlike Biden, Trump will not put up with Thailand playing both sides of the fence with China and the USA.

No, he is President Trump by virtue of the fact that he held the office previously.  Former presidents are still referred to as Mr. President, even after leaving office.

I'm so happy that Trump won!  Now the United States can have a good economy again.  The world can have peace again.

In other words give us some money and get out of Thailand "We love you USA".  I say let them go down the hole with China, their true mentors.

I hope he ships back boat loads. Any in the prison's send them back home as well.

Maybe Thais can be shipped over to US (like they do in Israel) to work in the fields and pick fruit.  Trump doesn't like Mexicans to do this and NO American will do this backbreaking work.  There are slaughterhouse jobs too ...
