President Joe Biden's Historical Legacy is Ruined

Featured Replies

  • Popular Post

Joe Biden has been a reasonably successful president in many ways. Such as the infrastructure bill and managing an economic recovery without recession or depression when pretty much all economists said avoiding a recession was impossible.

But on the two biggest issues he has failed.

On the Russo Ukraine war he never helped enough and soon enough for Ukraine to ever have any chance of winning. Just enough to not lose. Not good enough!

On the biggest defining issue of his presidency -- saving American democracy from autocracy and being a bridge to a new generation of pro democracy leadership -- he has FAILED miserably.

I like Joe Biden as a human being very much. All presidents make mistakes. But these two mistakes will damn him historically.

Of course he should have never begun to run for a second term. Then the democrats would have gone through a normal primary process and nominated a stronger candidate.

Harris did an amazing job in an impossible situation. The reason she was put into that impossible situation sits firmly at the door of Joe Biden. Needless to say, the political career of Harris is now over.

A Harris is a Harris.

A sow's ear is a sow's ear.

The reason we were saddled with a sow's ear, this year, as you say....

Was due to the hubris of Biden.

These days, Biden could not even be hired as a conductor on the Paoli Local.

Biden needs to be ridden on a rail, OUT of the White House...and...FAST.

You need to GO, Joe Blow....!

Harris fell flat on her face and picked a complete weirdo like Walz  because nobody wanted to run with her. If you think Harris was that great do you want her to try again in 2028?

The Joe giveth, and the Joe taketh away.  He made her VP as a DEI pick, and then sabotaged her when he no longer needed impeachment insurance.

The Dems reaped exactly what they've been sowing.  Lost the Presidency, the Senate, and the House.  Let's see if they take the lessons to heart.  I miss the old Dem party that believed in common sense.

Doctor Jill showing up in a MAGA red dress wasn't subtle.

My concern earlier in the cycle is that they'd offer Harris a seat on the Supreme Court in order to get her to step aside and let Big Mike (or Newsom) be the candidate.  I'm glad I was wrong.

=

Harris raised 1.2 billion dollars

still lost massively (a right proper thrashing as the lads in Brixton say)

and left her campaign 2o million dollars in debt.

LOL !!!!!

Guess hiring Beyonce and Cardi B was not what Americans wanted 🙂

Imagine how bad she would have trashed the US economy

I just love how those that hate trump like to overlook Biden's 50 years of failure in politics due to 4 years of fake news.

Even Harris tried to distance herself from him and his policies.

As we have seen it didn't help her win, Thank your Deity of choice.

I have to admit, I am loving the irrational meltdowns I am seeing on both Youtube and here. It warms my heart

I love how they are falling all over themselves to lay blame,

Pelosi now says it is Biden's fault for not pulling out sooner so they could have a proper primary. I hope this infighting continues for the next 4 years so we can have a 2nd Republican president after Trump. Oh wait, We don't need to worry about that since Trump will suspend the constitution and just anoint a successor.

Biden's legacy is that he had dementia, lied about it, as did all the Dems, then finally got outed in a debate and had to step down from the presidential race, while keeping a very low profile for the rest of his term as president.

Really embarrassing.

At least most people are going to agree on this point.

Harris did a terrible job.  She was completely out of her depth and came across as unlikeable, fake, and incompetent.

It a circular firing squad in the Democrat Party today.  They will continue to lose chunks of their Black/Hispanic base to the GOP

One of Harris' many errors.  Saying that things were going to get better while forgetting she has been part of the problem for four years.

Never mind.  Trump and Vance managed this just fine.  :clap2:

It is the misogyny that is prevalent in minority communities such as the Latinx that made it impossible for us to coronate a new queen of the people.

Choose honour yet? Apologizing to the membership for your hate ridden vituperation and lies?

Naw still spewing nonsense

I will wake up every day for the next four years thankful that this country avoided insanity. Hopefully in the next election the democrat party wont be as scary as it is now

He could care less, he got to be president and he didn’t lose is all he cared about.

And Biden’s biggest mistake was Harris right from the get go.

Biden stayed too long after it was obviuos to every one except his wife his health was not up to the job.

Harris did the best she could but but fell well short of  a threat to Trump.

False. The US has been the leading nation to quickly lend US technology, weapons and money to Ukraine to counter Russian invasion. Well, except when Trump was POTUS who wanted to trade US javelins necessary to stop Russian tanks for political "dirt" on Biden's bid for POTUS.

Well, having presidential immunity as granted by the USSC, he didn't call in Seal Team Six to resolve Republican "issues." But Biden is POTUS until January 20th, so who knows?

For me, failing to honor his pledge to be a one-term president is the worst. The Dems might have had a chance, if they could have presented a better candidate than Harris, but Biden made that impossible.

It was the Federal Reserve that managed the soft landing. Biden was the one who brought us the inflation surge that was one of the main factors for Trump's triumph.

It's impossible to ignore Biden's weakness in foreign policy, both Gaza and Ukraine.  It's unlikely that he can salvage his legacy in the two months that he has left.

Biden is just a continuation of a string of failed presidencies. Things started to fall apart in the Clinton presidency, but George "Baby" Bush was the first truly failed one. We had a budget surplus until he came along, and Republicans threw out their dedication to fiscal responsibility.

Biden never explicitly promised to be a one term president. That would have been politically idiotic to do. But it's true that he hinted at it.

Let's hope that in her hext run for the Senate she is defeated in the primary.
