Wow this is great, so now for the next 6 months, any time we as a male foreigner get into an elevator, and a Thai woman is on her own, she will right away act pathetic and suddenly walk away to not join you in the same elevator...

Good, I much prefer alone in the lift then hearing these girls on their phones or looking at themselves in their camera..

I understand that nobody has sex there. Are you not aware of the pervert problem that country has?

You are not aware crimes happen everywhere? If they reported locals doing sexual assaults, you had dozens of headlines daily.

The assumption that it could be a man from the Middle East is based on your racism and you accept that as fact😝😝😝

Who witnessed this?

The camera. Why do you ask? Is there a reason to doubt her credibility? There is undoubtedly plenty of video footage - have you seen it? The camera doesn’t lie. In law the credibility of the witness is taken into account by the courts and law enforcement. It is extremely unlikely that anyone would make something like this up and endure the inevitable fallout. The police can usually tell when someone is lying, that comes with the job. When they find him they will question him and hear his version. Then they will decide whether probable cause exists.

The condominium management, the security guards and Thai woman have my sympathy. Only a month ago this young gym rat nearly pushed me over from behind inorder to stop the automatic door from closing. Young, impatient, seen him before .... he meant no harm. Daily event people rusing through the automatic door without using their access card to save those precious seconds ... makes life difficult for Condominium security. IMHO lets focus on the sick arrogant pervert stalker. The fact that he did not live there and entered illegally with no valid reason, and then after touching the Thai woman without consent exited the building in secret, is proof enough of his guilt. Hope the information the Thai woman provided the police will be sufficient to apprehend this sick arrogant pervert stalker.

You'll find him on Soi Buakhou with all the other sex pests today.

The sex pests you are mentioning are unlikely to assault anyone as they can easily have cheap sex around there.

Oh, does Bangkok not have the cheap sex you are mentioning?

why would someone rape in a country where sex is so readily available everywhere?

A common enough question here. You need to understand that the excitement, the payoff of rape is in the violent aspect, the taking her against her will. debasing and humiliating. Rape has nothing to do with "normal" sex

Where did I write It's only in Pattaya?

My point is just that when there is wide access to cheap sex,it is less likely that people feel the need to assault a women. Unless the guy is broke.

Did you watch the video?

This creature felt the need to assault.

It seems there's not enough cheap sex

It’s blurry can’t see appearance.

You almost never see someone well enough on a camera and are lucky to get more then a shadow. Their primary purpose is to make people feel safer.

If they are not watching your every move to catch you working illegally, or randomly shake you down to check your visa, it is these news events causing all Thais to think we are the devil.

Living here in a way really is like having this sticker on your forehead forever. We always first need to proof our innocence before it changes.

speak for yourself, this does not affect me,

I get sexually assaulted most times I take a walk down Soi 6, girls seem to like to grab my dickk. I also get sexually assaulted many times at the nightclubs with girls playing with my dickk. Should I go and report it to the cops or secure an interview with Channel 8?

You disgust me. This entire comment and the fact that you feel the need to make the distinction is creepy as fokk.

While it may not have been outright assault it certainly was sexual harassment -- "a type of sexual violence that involves unwanted sexual attention, behavior, or comments that make someone feel unsafe, scared, or humiliated."

then there is the distinction between harassment and assault which puts this back on the assault side of the scales.

"Sexual assault refers to any physical sexual act that occurs without someone's consent while sexual harassment refers to non-physical sexual conduct such as gestures or sexual comments."

The fact that he, a male, intimidated her and touched her without consent makes it assault, so you may watch yourself in future interactions.

You disgust me... Taking a story with very little details and making it into a heinous crime. Twisting the words for assault and harassment to suit your needs or beliefs when there is a very big difference especially in punishment to the perp. I hope one day you are in an elevator and a woman enters and you happenstance touch her shoulder or even her back to guide her. And she files a sexual assault charge on you.

You have no idea what happened in the elevator other than he touched her face and other places and not even sure those other places would constitute an assalt charge. Then you twist it into sexual assault.. You should be ashamed of yourself.

The video shoes there was unwanted physical contact - this is both Harassment and an Assault - IF you had watched the video you will see there is no deviation from that behavior.

I never said it was not assault or harassment...  You twisted it into sexual assault which is clearly defined as touching certain parts of the body.. Then you have the gall to say i am defending this creep? When clearly i was outlining that it was perhaps not sexual assault...

Clearly you make it into sex assault without understanding the implications.. I saw the video.. He touched her face and should and waist.... nothing shown in video more than that...

By the way... you can put your own spin on what is sexual assault... but the definition and the laws are clear about it.. Touching the face or shoulders or waist is not sexual.

Sexual assault happens when someone either touches another person in a sexual manner without consent or makes another person touch them in a sexual manner without consent. It includes unwanted kissing and the touching of someone's genitals, breasts or bottom.

Yeah, until it's your own wife or daughter, then the tune usually changes. Lets nip this in the bud right away, my solution is a effective deterrent, and there will be no recidivism.

I see your point but in law there is usually a necessary sense of proportion. Would you suggest the same punishment for speeding, driving under the influence of drink or drugs ect. What about the Thai government  for allowing people to drive without proper testing or policing. Then there's the police themselves for allowing the obvious danger. You could also target a large part of the Thai population for their lack of responsibility on the issue.  And that's just driving, never mind all the other dangers that are deliberately allowed to continue.

I wouldn't want to understate this woman's experience but I think you need to be sensible.

I don't see any mention of the police,  but maybe I've missed it.

Just had another look and I can see a mention of the police now.  The story seems to focus on TikTok and TV interviews.

Look up the definitions of sexual assault - your understanding is incomplete.

Going by the legal definition this was 'sexual assault'.

You are under the wrong 'assumption' IF you think sexual assault means only 'groping' of a region you consider sexual.

OK - apologies for that... It just read that way as you argued this was not a sexual assault, it appeared you were attempting to diminish the severity of this behavior, particularly when you wrote... "Did he grab her pu--y or a-- or boo--? "

Its still sexual assault.... It doesn't need to be 'more than that' to be considered Sexual Assault - it seems you are attempting to diminish the severity of this incident - the girl must have been terrified.

It's my spin, its a legal definition: Try again - re-educate yourself before you do.

Yes.. but its not 'limited' to that - this is where you have a mistaken interpretation.

The Egyptian has also now been arrested for 'Sexual Assault'...  its clear in this instance the Police know the definition better than you, too !!..
