Another foreign couple faced criticism from locals in Phuket after they were caught engaging in sexual activity on Kata Beach yesterday.

 

A picture of the foreign couple, whose nationalities remain unidentified, was shared by the Phuket Times. The page posted the image for its followers today, November 25, with a caption that read…

 

“It’s windy and chilly. Foreign tourists were caught in a standard sexual position on Kata Beach, Phuket.”

 

The image of the couple was shared in the comments section. Fortunately, no video was attached despite numerous requests from the page’s followers. From the photo, it appears the person who took it was very close to the couple.

 

Many Thai netizens criticised the couple for their explicit act, while others shared their experiences of witnessing public sexual encounters in various locations across Phuket.

 

 

Several commenters noted that such behaviour seemingly becomes commonplace in the province.

 

“Edited picture? Video evidence, please!”

 

“I caught another couple on Kalim Beach at 2am. It happened in a popular spot near a pink cafe.”

 

“This is the behaviour of a few bad farangs and has nothing to do with Phuket officials. Stop blaming the government. You should become prime minister yourself and see what you can do about this. Funny comments are better than pointless complaints.”

 

“Did you sneak over to take their picture?”

 

“Stop blurring the image. People like this deserve to be shamed.”

 

“This isn’t news. It’s something that’s been happening for a long time.”

 

This incident is expected to conclude in the same manner as similar cases previously reported. Foreign couples caught engaging in public sexual acts often manage to avoid charges, unlike some Thai couples who face fines for similar behaviour.

With so many Thais trying to catch foreigners doing some lewd act. You would think they enjoy the show. But without video proof of the act. It could be harmless loving being shown. Thais are not known for their public displays of affection. To see a Thai couple sitting with the woman on top of the man or holding the man in a sexual position is something they would never do. Foreigners though, will hold their woman in the sea in a sexual position. The woman will sit on the mans dick holding him without it being actual sex. 

Even playfully with my wife of 12 years, I walk up behind her and grind her butt in doggy style position that could easily be construed as having sex. Even though we are clothed and covered in our privates. 

I am not saying they did or did not have sex. But it seems that Thais are out seeking to shame and catch foreigners more to gain likes in the FB or Twitter or Ticktock accounts than actually looking to see what is really happening or to understand what it is they are really seeing. Only video proof could show this.

'I caught a couple at 2am'? This sounds like a pervert out for a cheap thrill. The one taking the pics should be charged as a peeping Tom, or Somchai.

The Thai love for the baht means next there will be tours of these areas with willing tourists hoping to get that instagram photo. 

Seems to hit the news once or twice per season but I'm sure the vast majority of beach-bonking goes unnoticed. It's been going on for thousands of years and we all got away with it until social media came along 😉

yep....and we all got sand in to the gearbox, that's parts of growing up............40 years ago one could find a 5km lonely stretch of beach in Portugal , took you 1/2 hour by VW bus to even get there behind the dunes, you'd spread the blanket, uncorked the vinho verde and started to love your girlfriend . Lo and behold, the locals must have been dug in like Fremen in Dune just to pop up at the top of the dunes the second you checked the oil..............but no, nobody shot pics, screamed bloody traditional portuguese catholicism or even called the ACAB for a rip-off, so what?! Give 'em a good time while we were having a better one.

Tourists and expats should all remember one thing, not matter how stoned or drunk they

are. They are in Thailand, not their home country. I also bet in the ME, this kind of activity

does not happen very often. I told a few people in my travels to get a room, and when they saide they had one,                                            I said go to your room then, you are in Thailand not your own country with all the freedom

of having public sex.

I love that there's the detail about the position - do the Phuket Police have a book where they can look up what's a "standard sexual position" versus something a bit kinkier?

The Phuket Times writes that 'the couple were caught in the standard sexual position'. Surely whether or not it was standard is a matter of opinion and/or  personal preference.

What is wrong with people ,have they got noting else to do then patrolling the beach area/country side Looking for people to Do something what's remotely has to do with a Sex Act. .

No, same as farang. Our posters here would love to see the video. We also complain if any public sex photos aren't clear.
