Has anyone managed to file the FIRST 90 day report online?

Sent mail report to CW 25th August 2024

Thanks, I might give this a try then. I'm now 12 days before the due date and I see their site states the application must be sent in 15 days before.  On their website they also state the turn round is 30 days so that would be well beyond the due date + 7 days for me.  Could always claim ignorance if it comes back rejected or just doesn't come back.  30 days from today would put the date at my max 45 days before expiry (if that's still possible at CW) to renew my extension.  Given there's nothing on their site (that I can find) stating that the first report after re-entry has to be in person they might accept my mailed in receipt and "Oh I didn't know".  Just my luck to get an ultra diligent IO who says "yeah, good story, but we sent you a mail saying must be done in person after you tried online, 2k cough up" 🤣

  • No, FIRST report has to be in person, after that online works. at least in my cases that was the way it worked.

  • But they get approved by your local Immigration Office.

  • Then you will be told to do it before the 90 day report is considered.

You need to post the TM47, 15 days prior to due date.

TM30 not tied to the report.

It's pretty much bullet proof.

Might be option for future reports.

I'm at 12 days now, given it's just a couple of stamps I might give it a try (as per above post), just claim ignorance if they reject it.  Worst that can happen is having to pay up.

Online always works for me, just this time I screwed up, aside from is all being pointless hassle of course 🙁

Yes it does state 15 days.

Once I did it at 12 days (CW) and it was processed and approved.

Had hand written note to do it 15 days early in future.

True at CW can take long time to receive approval.

Past the 7 day grace period for in person.

Have read couple of reports when mail was either not returned or not approved that with EMS recipe there was no fine.

Another perk of the mail option is next report date is calculated from due date not from when application is made.

Thought I might as well try it by post. Sent today, 12 days before the due date. I too had a “send earlier next time” note on one of mine once before when I was doing postal regularly, before online came into being. Since then though, online has worked for me, only needed to go in person when I renewed my passport.

More importantly, I can see if they still accept postal as a first report after returning to Thailand. I already have an appointment made for 7 Jan which is two days before the 7 day cut off.  If it comes back rejected before 7 January I can still go in person (or not). If it comes back later than 30 days so much the better. If it’s accepted, all good, if it’s rejected I’ll be within my 45 days before expiry renewal period so can do it with extension renewal, provided they don’t say “we already told you by email to go in person”.

If they do accept the postal I can’t think why online isn’t acceptable, unless they want to see a copy of your entry stamp in the passport which they will with postal (but they can see your entry date on the system anyway), or even if they just need to have physical forms to input from for the first report. We’ll see.

Used to.....can't now.....just gets rejected.

Went last week to the IO. All prepped, paperwork in blue ink, copies of everything required.

Sat there, no queuing system, no one knows who turn it is......then a girl, about 12 years old. walks up, takes my passport disappears for 2 minutes......90 day report all done????......No one looked any doc's or forms????

Guys, how hard is it to tell us which immigration office you were rejected or accepted at? Clearly, it depends on the office and it could help others to know where they can use the various options.

Info about how long before the 90 days you applied could help too.

Just read....somewhere?.....that the online report has to be completed between day 15 and day 7 before the next reporting date??

Does everyone else already know that?

This is gonna be my first 90 day report since entering the country. I tried to file it online, but it got rejected, the reason being that the first report must be done in person. However, I read that some people managed to do it online. The question is: how?

Chaiyaphum....tried online after returning from the UK.....rejected, told to go to the IO in person.

Stuff that......not trekking all that way.....Sent it in by mail........accepted????

Someone posted a sign from one immigration office that said that but the official rule is 15 days up until the deadline.

It was, that's why I responded to the post.

You said "first one since extension"

I am currently on a retirement visa, which expired in early December. I went to the immigration office and renewed my extension (TM7) for another year. My first 90-day report following the extension was due in late December. Although it was said that this report cannot be submitted online, I decided to give it a try, and it worked!

You have wrong info. Report after extension has always always doable online, it is the first 90 day report after coming back into the country that is the question. Some have had success, some haven't.

First time must be in person (online rejection for me was quick); thereafter can do it online (Nonthaburi office).

Interesting. I'm petty sure I've posted within that 7 days, but not recently and not CW.

My bad. Thanks for the correction.

  • 1 year later...

Was it ever possible to do an online report after having returned from abroad? (the one we have to do in person nowadays)

Not that it matters anymore, but I'm quite sure I did it around 2019, and before (pre-Covid).

Office was Pak Nam in Samut Prakan.

Pretty sure the first 90 day report after returning has to be in person, after that online works. That's my experience anyway.

I did my very first 90 report online in December 2024 in Phuket. Last year, after having been abroad, I was told to come in person.

In Phuket my 90 days online after returning from abroad was accepted in January 2025, and was accepted again one month ago.

Things never stop changing......

Yes, it certainly was in the early days of the current system, but in 2019 you would have been using the older system so unsure about that.
