I was surprised yesterday along Jomtien beach they still do the Wednesday no chairs or Umbrellas allowed.

Plain crazy now we are in peak season, they cut down most of the shady trees so people jostling for the odd bit of shade, while slowly getting sunburn/skin cancer

Vitamin D from the sun is good for you.

As long as you don’t lie in it all day long, every day it’s fine.

Keep up 🤡

Evidently Pattaya is doing something right considering how popular it is. Yet it is the butt end of jokes on here endlessly

That depends on how many international (family) tourist actually return.  If told & sold as a family friendly beach resort town, I'd be really disappointed ... actually P'd off big time.

If told/sold as adult playground, then fairly spot on, as impossible to miss, and you don't need to go looking for it.

Yes they have really screwed up Jomtien this time. The only way this area could ever be squared away would be from a special zone  : Naklua, Pattaya, Jomtien to be administered by a select Western group from California, Australia. Because the folks in charge now are lucky if they can tie their shoes every morning

Thank heavens there's no American or Australian Trash ! ...I'm  Irish... better go home so ....

The Pattaya ladyboys will be happy. So many more gold necklaces and wallets to steal!

Pattaya Beach has become a hotspot for international tourists basking in the sun and enjoying Thailand's vibrant offerings.

Every year the Big Belly Whales swim ashore to mate. 😳

Pattaya has been getting the same old criticism from the same group of people for 20 years. And yet it keeps growing and getting better.

For who?

with beaches packed from sunrise to the stunning sunsets that Pattaya is known for.

Thanks Mr A I . On the OP photo there is hardly any room for anyone else wanting to join the Swarm!

You can hardly see the beach anymore. Too many condo projects so it feels like you are stuck inside a prison, can't move. The whole Jomtien area are gradually starting to become less interesting if you want a peaceful beach holiday.

The traffic are horrendous.

Just stop pumping sewerage into the ocean.  No chance I'd swim there ...

Supposedly they stopped years ago.  Not sure I believe it and I don't go into the water.  In fairness even if I knew it was clean I'd probably not.  I like REALLY clean crystal clear warm water.  Even then for a short period so I'm not a big beach person.

That's a dated urban myth.

The street runoff in any seaside city only has one place to go. Street runoff is not sewage. And how many times has the beach been shut down for ecoli ? Plenty of beaches in Australia and around the world get shut down for ecoli

I wonder if they even test the seawater and react to the results accordingly? It would be detrimental to the image of the town, more-so than the air pollution.  There used to be a run off into the sea viewable from many Jomtien sea front condos, although it was done usually at night... I wonder why. Where would all this sewage go... I see some gets poured directly into these storm drains by food outlets..

What, Vibrant Offerings?

Be interesting to see what they do this coming Wednesday?  Christmas Day
