  • Mr Inbetween   https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7472896/   One of the best series I have watched in quite some time, an easy 8/10 for me.

  • When you get very old you can re-watch stuff from a month ago and have no idea that you have seen it before.

Looked for it but don't see it. It's from 8 june, no 3 and 4 then, just 1 and 2.

Looks like that IMDB gives only the US airing schedule. The original has 2 episodes of 90 min. which are in the US 4 episodes of 45 min. Confusing? YES. So no more Vienna Blood eps I guess.

Just watched "Homestead", America falls after a nuke terrorist attack ...........

The most awful woke Mormon prepper nonsense you could possibly imagine.

At least nobody dropped their guns, or fell over running away.

I just wasted nearly 2hrs of my life.

Rotten has this at 41% ...

Season 2 of the excellent comedy Mo (short for Mohammed) now out.

Start with Season 1 of course.

Topics of immigration, asylum, Mexico, economic struggles, diversity, and the Israeli Palestinian mess are all very timely of course.

The hostility of Mo and his family towards Israelis is very believable so not really offensive if you don't agree as I don't.

Bottom line it's a quite original and fresh comedy series that works as such.

I'm at the season 2 finale.

I wanted to correct calling it a comedy.

It's actually a comedy drama or dramady.

We  also binned it after ep1 series 2,  it also gets a succession of lousy reviews on IMDB

Arnold Judas Rimmer of Jupiter Mining Corporation Ship Red Dwarf

New series  called Watson after Holmes death that wasn't.

Not likely to watch it as Watson has changed colour am I wrong to think like that?

Apparently it is being compared to House! Maybe one episode to check it out!

Wow. Didn't know this existed, as never seen it repeated in later years. Having said that, transmitted in 1969, we didn't have a Tele for another 2 years, so easily missed. (Queue reminiscing of the 4 Yorkshire Men sketch).

Written by Johnny Speight, who was on a hiatus between series 3 and 4 of Till Death Us Do Part at the time.

Great cast, Spike Milligan, Eric Sykes, Kenny Lynch amongst others. Interesting, Produced by Norma Farnes, who was both Spike's Manager as well as Eric's.

Will D/L and add into the library.

Cheers @sometime.

Fancy a bit of Python?

I found Episode 1 particularly interesting -- most of it was set in Bangkok.

It's all downhill from there.

Directed by a man called Smallbone, what did you expect?

Yes, I liked the Bangkok setting, too, and I'm enjoying the series.

I watched it again (first time when it was released) or should I say I tried to watch it again, but it didn't even raise a smile, so off it went!

I am into Benny Hill at the moment. Why are there never re-runs?

I sat through the three hour-long movie "Babylon" starring Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie, amongst others and although it took a little time to get into what was actually happening, I did warm to it eventually and stayed with it right through to the very end.

It didn't get good reviews, but it was an interesting movie and this write-up describes it perfectly: – "Decadence, depravity and outrageous excess lead to the rise and fall of several ambitious dreamers in 1920s Hollywood as the industry begins to transition from silent pictures to the world of sound films".

Some of the leading characters in it were loosely based on movie stars and moguls at the time, so an interesting watch IMO.

You managed not to laugh at this?

I laughed at it the first time round a few years back, but always found the Python humour to be "adolescent humour" so I've outgrown it I think.

Humour wise, I liked Morecambe and Wise and Blackadder (most of them anyway) and as I've mentioned previously "The Thin Blue Line" and this one still makes me laugh/chuckle even though I've watched it quite a few times and when I'm feeling in need of a laugh, this is the series I watch.

Nearly forgot to mention Fawlty Towers, although I was never a fan of Basil Fawlty's manic rants, but most of it I liked, again no laughs just smiles, and of course The Two Ronnies.
