  • And everyone knows it's just a nonsense political move that doesn't mean much.

  • Surely you know the charges were all politically made up?

  • In your opinion. Hardly everyone's opinion. The fact remains he will enter his second term both an instant LAME DUCK and a convicted felon.

The fact remains -- he will be the first convicted felon president.

Meaning he is subject to the same rules as all other convicted felons.

For example, he will be unable to vote in Florida.

Of course convicted felons are banned from travelling to most countries.

It's fair to assume that will be magically ignored as long as he is president.

No worries because Trump will soon be able to pardon himself.

No -- the 34 varieties felony guilty verdict was a NY State crime.

Yes i heard about the landslide thing, care to share some numbers?

Oh wait,not a landslide?

Landslide or not, the numbers in the electoral college, 226 to 312, point to quite a convincing win.

No.  Anyway, at this point, they're not hurting Trump.  He's in his late 70s and he is the President elect of the United States.  Convicting Trump at this point just damages the USA.

When they write the history books, this nonsense will be highlighted, along with the McCarthy hearings, the Salem Witch trials. and Hitler's concentration camps. .

Not from a state conviction.

Democrat state persecution, meaningless, he is still going to be the 47th President

Merchan has signaled in his written opinion that President Trump will face neither jail time nor penalties at his sentencing next week, but instead grant President Trump a conditional discharge whereby a case is closed without jail time, fine or probation. This will finally allow Trump to appeal the charges, which given all the corruption during Trump's show trial, will ultimately remove the conviction entirely.

Hopefully. once the appeals court has ruled on the matter, it will lead to the censure and removal from the bench of Merchan.

You and several others live in a delusional world and its pretty sad for you, denying the truth and facts don't make them go away. When they write the history books a lot of his dirt will come out but youll be dead so you have an out on that one

Opinion from the generally left-leaning legal scholar Richard L. Hasen:

In a surprising move on a lightning-quick timetable that is unlikely to stand if challenged, the New York court that presided over the Stormy Daniels hush money criminal trial of Donald Trump ordered him on Friday to be sentenced on Jan. 10, just 10 days before he will assume the presidency once again.

The judge signaled that Trump would get an “unconditional discharge,” meaning no jail time or probation, but sentencing would still cement the former and future president as a convicted felon.

If Trump seeks an emergency stay blocking the sentencing—and it will not surprise us if he goes all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court if necessary—we expect he will succeed.

Get a grip on reality.  That may be hard, but you should try.  If you can't see what has been happening, you're one of the propaganda victims.  I'm not worried about history, one way or the other.

Propaganda rhetoric about persecution.

Yes, tragically, that insurrectionist sleazeball, soon to be convicted felon will indeed be president.

The maga fascists similar to the Putin Z-sters and all totatalitarian regimes in history are doing what they can to rewrite history, especially as far as what students are taught, if anything. Time will tell how long their perverted racist anti democratic movement holds power.

One man's prediction.

As it stands Trump enters the presidency again as a convicted felon.

Propaganda is a powerful tool.  It's almost as old as civilization itself, but has gained traction more recently with the advent of the printing press and mass media. And it is  a favorite of totalitarian regimes and of those intent on establishing  a totalitarian regime, such as  the current crop of so-called "Democrats."  Without propaganda and brainwashed masses, they stand no chance.

Take a look at some recent history.  See what the Nazi regime and Hitler accomplished in the 30s and 40s. Propaganda + censorship. The people could only consume the mainstream narrative. They were brainwashed.  It worked well. Look up Joseph Goebbels and his attempts to control newspapers, films and literature. Glorify Hitler, vilify Jews. We all know how it turned out. They brainwashed the entire nation of Germany. The result was catastrophic.

Anyway, you can skip over the next 50 years or so and they're still at it.  This time, it's the "Democrats." The mainstream media has been captured, and a huge percentage of the population thinks that when they turn on the TV, they're hearing the "truth."  And they really believe it.

No one has to recite history.  It's there for all to see, and it's ugly.

Just hopefully if it happens again there will be a real crime to charge them with. The damage to democracy this witch hunt and political persecution has caused is incalculable.

Ah fantastic. So,finally someone will be able to tell us how many long expired misdemeanors got resurected in America and charged as multiple felony counts? Hundreds? Thousands? Millions? Or just once ever in America's history?🤣

You are arguing with people who are brainwashed.  It's something to do, but not very productive.

English must not be your first language.  I didn't say I know about all criminals in the US.  I just said I know about one.

Come on man, stop it. More than half of the USA voters are not Fascists, fullstop.

How on Earth can you seriously think that. Could you any reasons?
