Here is a list of some of the changes President Trump is making since resuming office in January 2025. many are controversial policies and executive orders:

Here's a summary of notable actions:

  1. Withdrawal from the World Health Organization (WHO): On January 20, 2025, President Trump signed Executive Order 14155, directing the United States to withdraw from the WHO, citing dissatisfaction with the organization's handling of global health issues.

  2. Ending Birthright Citizenship: Through Executive Order 14160, titled "Protecting the Meaning and Value of American Citizenship," President Trump sought to end birthright citizenship for children born in the U.S. to unauthorized immigrants and those on temporary visas. This order has faced multiple legal challenges and has been blocked by federal judges.

  3. Reinstatement of Transgender Military Ban: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth reinstated a ban on new transgender service members, reversing policies from the previous administration that allowed for inclusive service.

  4. Elimination of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) Programs: Executive Order 14173 prohibits private organizations from implementing DEIA programs in employment practices related to federal contracts, aiming to restore merit-based opportunities.

  5. Immigration Enforcement Intensification: The administration has authorized extensive deportation raids targeting undocumented immigrants, leading to family separations and public outcry.

  6. Cabinet Appointments: President Trump's second-term Cabinet nominations have sparked controversy, with figures like Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Pete Hegseth, and Tulsi Gabbard facing significant opposition during confirmation hearings.

  7. International Relations Efforts: President Trump has engaged in discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin, claiming progress toward ending the Ukraine-Russia conflict. Details of these talks remain limited, and concerns have been raised about potential concessions.

  8. Withdrawal from the Paris Agreement: On January 20, 2025, President Trump signed Executive Order 14162, directing the immediate withdrawal of the United States from the Paris Agreement and other international climate commitments.

  9. Recognition of Two Genders: President Trump announced that the U.S. government will officially recognize only two genders, male and female, and plans to issue executive actions to end federal mandates related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

  10. Creation of the Department of Government Efficiency: The administration has initiated a reorganization of the federal government, including the creation of the Department of Government Efficiency, led by Elon Musk, aiming to streamline operations and reduce bureaucracy.

These actions have elicited strong reactions from various sectors, reflecting deep divisions in public opinion regarding the administration's policy directions, which ones do you agree or disagree with?

1. 👍

2. won't make it pass the SCOTUS, a good thing.

3. All should be allowed to join, but, no special rights, treatment, requirement / qualification waivers / exceptions, for men that think they are women.  Matter of fact, maybe restricted to serve due to mental illness.

4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 10. 👍

Thank You President Trump

Apparently paper straws explode.

ENDING THE FORCED USE OF PAPER STRAWS: Today, President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Order to end the procurement and forced use of paper straws.

  • The Federal government is directed to stop purchasing paper straws and ensure they are no longer provided within Federal buildings.
  • The Order requires the development of a National Strategy to End the Use of Paper Straws within 45 days to alleviate the forced use of paper straws nationwide.

I hate paper straws.

We used to use paper straws in the 1950s.

Never liked them.

Paper cups!

We need to ban paper cups, too.

The worst paper cups are the ones you see by a drinking fountain.

The triangular ones.

They collapse and then the water soaks shirts and pants (trousers).

These triangular paper cups should be banned FIRST.

That's the old picture

All reads as perfectly, exactly what he said he'd do. His voters will be happy they are actually getting what they wanted

Excellent photo of Trump!!!

Although, this image is a bit devilish, in my view.

Absolutely & the US government is no place for social engineering, especially in the military except for warfare.

Trump is a very playful character who much enjoys mugging for the camera.

He knows it drives the dems nutzo.

There's many notable & [BENEFICIAL WINNING] changes, too many to list. So, on a lighter note:

The voters, **70% as recently polled believe Trumps is keeping his promises he campaigned on and detailed in his republican platform BUT, perhaps Trumps crowning achievement and his GREATEST achievement is when, as a political novice he toppled Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election becoming 45th POTUS and setting the stage for Trump 2.0 which is on it's way to becoming one of the greatest (and most beneficially  transformative) presidents in US history none of which is possible w/o the defeat of HRC.

How does it feel to be American right now? Here are Americans' brutally honest answers about how the last few weeks have felt.

"Like I'm tied to a chair while watching a toddler play with a gun."

"It feels like I'm a child in my father's car while he has road rage and is flipping everybody else off while provoking them with his careless drunk driving."

“At the bottom of everything, I am just so goddamn sick of Trump being at the forefront of the universe for the last 10 years. It's inescapable and exhausting."

"This is me, too. I don't feel as strongly about how cooked we are as others do, but I just can't stand what Trump has done to the nature of politics as well as the moral character of the country. We all hate each other, and because the Trump supporters are such a cult and have been for, like, nine whole-ass years, the entire country has a 'you're with us, or you're against us' mentality that I think is almost entirely the result of Donald Trump."

"I'm sick. Sick of the <deleted>. Depressed. Wondering how I'm going to afford to eat. Grocery prices are already too high, and tariffs will drive costs up even more. I hate the son of a bitch and his followers. I love our Canadian neighbors and hate what is happening."

"Not good, man. Not good. I'm wondering what I'm going to do to keep my wife and daughter safe while also trying to control the bubbling anger that arises when I see the country I served to take a huge <deleted> on the Constitution I swore to protect. I've watched good people turn into the most awful people imaginable. Hate has taken such a stranglehold, and there are those who welcome it and revel in it. I'm just silently preparing for what is ever-increasing in probability right now. Hope for the best, but plan for the worst."

"Two weeks in, and I am becoming a staunch Democrat. Between pardons, tariffs, and blaming a plane crash on diversity hiring, I am embarrassed to be an American."

Wow.  Great idea.  Here's some examples of this happening elsewhere in the world for you to look at, so you fully realise what a fantastically brilliant idea you shared on this public group.

Think it's the first time I've ever read anything on AN where someone agrees with what China has been doing, and wants the same thing to happen in the USA.

Brilliant!!  😂🤧🤩😹

Trump signs executive order against ‘exploding’ paper straws

It was crucial that Biden pushed the idiocy through.

Do you think he spent a lot of time on it?

Getting rid of illegals and exposing USAID corruption spending is higher on the list for most.

It was a reference to HRC calling for reeducation for Trump supporters when they claimed Russia collusion hoax was a hoax. Were you angry about the call for camps then? Rhetorical Q🤣

Ah okay!  No problem. 🙃

Oops.

The Consumer Price Index jumped more than expected, data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics showed on Wednesday, rising 0.5 percent from December in what was the fastest monthly increase since August 2023. Last month, the annual pace was 2.9 percent.
