In an unexpected scandal shaking Uthai Thani, a teacher at a prestigious school was discovered performing indecent acts on camera. The male teacher recorded himself wearing a black dog mask, a chain around his neck, and exposing himself in a classroom, sparking widespread outrage.

 

This shocking behavior was initially revealed through the Facebook page Kan Jom Phalang, which shared the disturbing footage. The viral clip shows the teacher donned in a Batman mask, sans shirt and trousers, with a chain draped around his neck in a government office setting.

 

Upon discovery by horrified parents, social media became ablaze with demands for action. Despite the overwhelming evidence, the school's director initially hesitated to press charges, a decision met with sharp criticism online, with many asking, “What if a child saw this?”

 

The public's clamor for justice saw calls for the teacher's immediate removal and the revocation of his teaching license due to severe ethical violations. Legal experts cited potential breaches of Thailand’s Criminal Code, notably Section 388 on public indecency and Section 287/1 on sharing obscene material online—offenses that could result in fines or jail time.

 

 

In response to the uproar, Theer Phawangkanan, Deputy Secretary-General of the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC), announced the teacher's swift transfer from the school, stating that a fact-finding committee is now in place to ensure fairness and thorough investigation. Theer assured that the teacher would face maximum penalties if found guilty of misconduct with students.

 

Further actions from Associate Professor Dr. Ponrapee Thummaphan, Deputy Secretary-General of the Teachers Council, confirmed ongoing investigations into potential professional ethics breaches. He stressed the importance of maintaining integrity among educators and the possibility of revoking the teacher’s license if unethical behavior is substantiated.

 

As investigations unfold, the affected school community and the public demand transparency and accountability, underscoring the necessity for safeguarding children's well-being in educational settings, reported The Thaiger.

Shocking indeed... just as teachers dress up like women in school acts or teachers who stimulate coyote dancing to their students.. or students who make copulation movements on music.. Thai education is one direction. That does not mean I approve this act, but come on there is so much sex dancing around at temples and festivals and everywhere.. Kids grow up with it

It reminds me of the BIB, in a lot of cases after being found guilty of a crime the punishment is usually a transfer to an inactive post. TIT

In Thailand, those in public services are regarded king's subordinates.

And aren't usually fired(even if they made some negative headline).

 

So, transfer is the common practice after some petite crime.

Unsure about more serious cases(e.g.murder/drug trafficking  etc).

We never get to read about the ultimate resolution(s). 

 

But it makes perfect sense to transfer someone being investigated to an inactive post so they can't muck around with the investigation.
