Trump: EU was formed to 'screw' the United States

Thats gdp not unemployment

I don't disagree with you about the fact that unemployment is also lower in the U.S. than in the EU. The U.S. economic performance has been remarkable post-Covid, compared to the EU and to G7 countries.

My point is that they would be worse-off without the EU. That's why Trump hates the EU.

He doesn't seem to know or remember anything else so why should he remember how to use it.

He cannot even remember calling the President of Ukraine a "Dictator"!

While I agree that changes are needed, reform is needed and there is a massive amount of waste in the system, his bull in the China closet approach may not be the best way to handle this. Especially in regards to poverty stricken children who are now being deprived of their medicine and are dying daily, due to his heartless manner. Their blood is on his tiny hands.

American children ?  Show your source for that claim, anything from The View or similar doesn't count. You can't but, I'll wait.

Let the EU start with stop buying weapons from the USA and stop supporting their wars.

Then the USA can remove all their military bases too.

There are many isolationists in America that pray for that exact thing.  It can't happen soon enough

Nick Brown, a British amateur psychologist, critically examined the mathematics behind the happiness index and found significant flaws in the methodology used by researchers like Barbara Fredrickson and Marcial Losada.8 Brown's critique highlighted that the mathematical models used to determine happiness ratios were fundamentally flawed, undermining the validity of such indices.

2022 was the lowest in that graph.

2022 is not representative. It was, as I already said  a correction year after a huge increase.

The man only has 4 years. 3 really to set things on a track the actually benefits the US citizens. He is not eligible to be president again. He needs to take action now as quickly as he can during his stint as president. It took many years for the DEMS to achieve this level screwing over American interests in the US. Just to appease and make other countries want to support the DEMS when they wanted or needed it. IF trade agreements were unfairly made that hurt the US, then they need to be changed to a better position that benefits the US again.

As it stands, The US has only lost in trade around the world. Just as in Thailand where they make and send so many things to the US without tax or tariff, but everything that US sends to Thailand is double taxed with additional fees demanded by customs making the products scarce and expensive.

What's the point - when he leaves office, and Democrats get back in, they will undo all the work he did anyways.

Got a feeling he doesn't really care that much on a deep level - but enjoys the bullying, big man, routine and celebrity, pomp and ceremony, power that comes with it.

You take it for granted, but you'll never give up your citizenship. Very lucky it allows dual citizenship, generous pensions even if you don't live there (try getting that in Thailand, India, etc). Free education, free health care, subsidized university fees for their citizens in some of the best universities on the planet, clean air, safe compared to the rest of the world with low crime rates, good strong economy in relative terms. (*free as in subsidized from the tax payer), and a powerful passport to allow you to travel anywhere.

Before you <deleted> on the UK or your western country (like the TikTokers love to do - straight from the Tate coursebook) you should remember it's that economy that allows you the freedoms to come and stay / holiday in Thailand.

These young entitled idiots all over social media feel as if the state owes them everything, then they <deleted> on it. Go ask Thai's, Indians, etc how bad the state is in their countries. In India, if you have no money you can't get treated by a doctor, pretty much no country (except Thailand) will let you in without you being a rich person., etc etc

Being the so-called President of the not United states he didn't know what the Aukus agreement is

You are falsely claiming gdp as a measure of economic health. Typical lefty ignorance.

What criteria are you using to measure economic health?

Try justifying your statement with some empirical data: "10 years of disaster pre- 2024 for Greece"

Hard to believe, but ignorance seems to be increasing exponentially rate among certain right-wing members.

Hmm.. perhaps... but i doubt it... The Dems are still in denial and trying to stop everything Trump is doing already. The people did not like what the Dems have been doing for awhile. I think the Dem party will choose another putz trying to make new pronouns and using hate of Trump to win the next election. But the Dems lost everything this time. Every office. it will take more than one election for them to have power again. If what Trump is doing actually works. The Dems may have lost any chance of winning elections next time also. Then you have to think. Most of the big donors for the Dems also are reluctant to give any more money since Harris threw away so much in such a short time with no results. Even now the donors are not helping the Dems like before.

If you're a Republican shopkeeper and a bull enters your china shop...

I guess you hope and pray that the bull doesn't knock over the shelf with the "good stuff" on it.

Thoughts and prayers. 😄

Ii appreciate the benefits of UK residence, I was referring to the happiness factor. English people, and I'm one of them, like to moan ( blame the dreadful winter weather). In fact I think the weather has a lot to do with a level of happiness. In warm and tropical countries people can spend a lot of time outdoors, there's a happiness there imo, just being able to sit outside, enjoy nature, watch the world go by.

But in cold climes, folks, especially the old, are trapped indoors, often leading to isolation and loneliness

So that's it? Unemployment is the sole criterion to judge a nation's economic health?

Thank you for labelling me, "embarrassing stupid"; I am reassured about my sanity. I would hate to be considered 'clever' by you.

Now just wait there quietly like a good chap. The nice men in white coats will be along to collect you shortly.

Perhaps the A side of this applies to him, though IMO the B side fits as well.

I would disagree.

The first step was to get out of the EU. The second step was to elect a government that would take advantage of that.

We did the former. The latter will happen 4 years from now.

We've been down this road many times before, Jonny. 'Brexit isn't the problem, it's the way in which it was implemented' is the mantra.

And my question(s) remains the same, What exactly should Brexit have looked like? How could it have been implemented differently?

I'll save you the bother of mentioning the ECHR. Leaving the ECHR might be a bone to throw to the rabid dogs, but it's not going to make much difference to economic performance.
