A Dutch tourist caused a commotion at a Krabi hotel, running around nude and shouting incoherently before tumbling down the stairs and injuring himself. Police and rescue services had to restrain and transport him to the hospital.

Around 3:30 PM on 24th March 2025, Krabi city police were alerted by staff at a hotel on Chao Fa Road about a foreign male tourist exhibiting erratic behaviour. The man, identified as 51-year-old Mr Ronald from the Netherlands, was agitated and undressed, ignoring attempts by the hotel staff to calm him.

Upon arrival, police and Krabi Pitak Pracha Rescue Foundation personnel found Mr Hillmar had retreated to his room after seeing officers. The room was on the second floor where they found him still unclothed.

Attempts to persuade him to dress were successful before negotiating to take him to Krabi Hospital. He had bruises consistent with his fall down the stairs and appeared to be under the influence of either drugs or alcohol. Despite their efforts, Mr Ronald resisted, necessitating restraints to transport him safely.

Hotel staff reported that Mr Ronald was supposed to check out on the day of the incident. It was during attempts to remind him of this that he began running around the hotel nude and fell. Uncertain whether his state was due to substance use or intoxication, the staff sought police and rescue assistance to handle the situation, reported 3Plus NEWS.

A clear cut case of pot laced with hallucinogens for Mr Ronald McDonald, a clown loose in the jungle.

Even the police can't resist a chuckle.

Ganja

Arrest him, try him, put him in jail for 30 days or so, and then deport him.

"Dutch tourist runs naked". Why is it always middle aged men running around naked, and never young attractive females?

Dr Google tells me:

"To enter Thailand, foreigners are prohibited from having certain diseases, including leprosy, tuberculosis, elephantiasis, drug addiction, and the third stage of syphilis"

Can they not add mental illness to that list?  Perhaps potheads and alcoholics??

Nah - their tourist numbers would go through the floor.....  🙂

Attractive females do too, but you have to pay them (a lot). Middle aged men do it for free :cheesy:

Drugs are going to destroy Thai society, Thai youth, and the Thai economy with all the weirdo falang junkies comming in.

Young attractive females are not predisposed to being sex tourists in Thailand.

Never a truer word been spoken.   I agree 100%.   Drugs wreck societies.   Look at Singapore as an example,  how many drug crazed kids do you see there?    none.

Was it incoherent if you spoke Dutch?  Running around naked sounds like Ambien...

I wouldn't mind if a young attractive Dutch female tourist ran around naked

Looks like he is wearing shorts to me and this is just another attention grabbing headline that has succeeded in getting everyone ecstatic about a naked clog.

Ok, so maybe you're having difficulty with the sequence of events. Dutch man runs around hotel naked. Falls down stairs and then absconds to his room.

Authorities catch up with him there and persuade him to don some shorts. Then a photo is taken showing that he's now wearing said shorts.

No justification for you to slag off the headline as  'just another attention grabbing headline'.

You're really against weed it seems, but don't really know much about it, as is the case of many who've never tried it. No one laces weed with hallucinogens, as they cost money, are are just sold as is.

Actually Singapore does have a drug problem with young users, even though they have a zero tolerance. People who want to use drugs will.

Drugs have been used here for decades, and it isn't from foreigners, meaning other than Asian countries, bringing it in but next door neighbors, especially Myanmar, which has the highest rate of meth use and production.
