Authorities and residents are concerned after a foreign man, visibly injured and covered in blood, disappeared on a motorcycle following a brawl at a bar on Koh Lanta, an island in Thailand's southern province of Krabi. The incident unfolded on the evening of April 9 and has since raised alarms locally due to its violent nature and the man's unresolved whereabouts.

A Thai bar owner captured and shared footage of the altercation on social media, providing a glimpse into the tense aftermath. The video, recorded at approximately 10:30 pm, shows a foreign man with bloodstains across his body exiting the bar and attempting to leave on a motorcycle. Two other foreigners followed suit on their bikes, but a man in brown shorts took steps to block the injured man's departure, leading to a heated exchange. Despite the confrontation, the injured man collided with a parked motorcycle before managing to flee the scene.

The bar owner, who documented the incident, was heard in the recording speculating about a possible stabbing, saying, “Stabbing? I see a hole in his body there. It’s stabbing.” He suggested the injured man's friends seek medical assistance, but this advice was seemingly ignored as no one acted upon it.

Staff at the bar recounted that the man had arrived with a group of five to six friends, who had been drinking together since early evening. An argument erupted among them, escalating into a physical fight where one member ended up with a bloody wound. The chaotic scene has left the exact cause of the injury and the identity of any attacker unclear.

In response to the destruction caused during the fracas, the bar owner reported the incident to the police, citing damage to furniture and utensils. Law enforcement is actively working to identify those involved and plans to summon them for questioning.

As of now, there have been no hospital reports confirming whether the injured man received medical treatment, augmenting the concerns for his safety and well-being. The situation remains under investigation as officers continue to piece together the events that transpired that night, reported The Thaiger.

Removing themselves from the gene pool should be commended.

Of course they were heavily intoxicated.

And then one guy blurted out sth rude that people who aren't drunk would normally not say.

And then the other guy's suppressed anger came to the surface, since that's what alcohol does to people.

Why be concerned?

The guy got into a fight, brushed himself off and went home.

Back in the day this would happen every weekend in Oz.

I'm sure there are some dear Petals here that will disagree with me.

The concern should be regarding riding motorcycle while perhaps intoxicated.

Does anyone wear a shirt these days?

Most people do.

If it was a stabbing I would assume the wound would need to be properly irrigated, sutured and antibiotics taken to prevent infection

Koh Lanta now, one of the most staid, unexciting islands, full of Nils and Svens from Sweden, Germany and such.

The scourge of Farang violence, criminality and anti-social behaviour is starting to infect every corner of Thailand.

Hard to tell if they're concerned that he may have escaped, or that he may be injured and in need of medical attention (or worse).

I always read these stories with my fingers crossed that it happened in the wee hours when old farts like me are (wisely) snoozing away.  10:30 is kinda pushing it.

Not sure what were your "days," ... in mine, mates, drunk or not  rarely fought, and certainly knives weren't involved... And I am Aussie.

Lanta used to be almost idyllic... alas.

There is something supremely off with young males 20-30 yrs old.

Almost like they were injected with an aggro drug or cerebral cortex antagoniser?  😉

Weird...

I know.

Swedes basically owned Phra Ae in the exceedingly mellow days of 2012-2015.

I remember the German bakery always turning out 1000% on point breads and breakfasts.

Something sent these young 2025 punks off the rails.

Not good.

Ruined by tourism.

Phew!....not Justins and Olivers from Dulwich and Doncaster then.

Petals? Snowflakes? Do you actually think there are people here that you are tougher than? Assuming without knowing has a man hide when reality hits them. This man was likely stabbed, maybe by a local or another foreigner and maybe because he was defending himself. Stabbed means someone, a coward, the usual perp here, who felt the need to carry a weapon because they're the coward. Brawls happen, but here it seems the usual things some carry include a weapon, meaning they're looking to use it. It's easy to act tough online where no one sees the real you, and best to avoid the talk, especially seeing it's usually used by those who avoid confrontations with people their size or bigger.

Have to see the wound.   Maybe it was a fork !    Wasn't someone heard yelling "i'm gonna fork you ! )

Please Sir! I do, I do!

He may have been Forked......:sorry: my spelling is not so good  :cheesy:

Maybe he crawled into a hole somewhere to bleed-out and remove himself from being stain on society.

Or more likely, it was a superficial wound that was "self repairable".  He's likely used to treating knife wounds.

That really is not a lot of blood, especially since his heart is pumping from a fight.  If a stab made it to his heart, liver, even lung, likely would have collapsed rather quickly.

Two men in the photo are NOT wearing shirts.

This is NOT good.

But...

Where is the video...?

Those guys are drunker than skunks.

I found the vid.

And, as expected, is most depressing.
