I haven't been drunk in about 19 or so years. Not my thing anymore.

We had a three week very hot and air polluted period up here in northern Nan province that stopped about two weeks ago. Since then the temps have dropped 3-8 degrees and we've had two spells of rain for 3-4 days each. Even woke this morning to a couple of hours of unforecast light rain. First summer here is seven years that the farmland in the valley below us actually stayed a pretty good shade of green rather than dusty and brown. Even clear air and blue sky yesterday.

Folks This is global cooling......I expect to go ice skating on the local lakes shortly...And I would not be surprised to see Polar bears roaming beach road soon...

This is happening because of the selfish EV drivers are not dong their fair share to warm the planet.....EV  drivers besides being fruity are going to cause us all to freeze to death.

having spent more than 30 years in Thailand, I notice for sure a big change in the weather.  Yeah still 3 seasons of Hot, rains some years wet some years or areas dry.  SUmmer storms getting more violent and hail growing larger almost every year.  Winds growing stronger with even one report of a tornado.  every month the international organizations report a record heat for that month.  There are regular reports now of 1000-year rains in a short period of time making for record flood.  These are all symptoms of global warming for sure as the weather is noticiably changing.

Last night's rain in Bangkok (15th) was phenomenal for this time of year. It was a lightning and thunder show that was sustained for at least 20 minutes (heavy). I've never seen a Bangkok deluge like that in April - it was like October. Flooded streets, some localized power cuts,

Quite agree.

Even though I have met a similar year sometime in the past.

Can anyone remember the heavy rain during songkran.  Had to laugh 2 guys came into a restaurant and instead of beer ordered hot coffee

I remember one very cool and wet Songkran years back; it was raining heavily every day. Must have been about 20 years ago.

Good amount of rain in the middle of the Songkran, was it in 2013?

I am in CNX, and it rained heavily on the 14th(before dawn and in the afternoon) this year.

And it felt pretty cool both in the morning and in the afternoon.

Also it was very cool yesterday, too.

So I didn't use any A/C last night.

Not that many years ago during Pattaya's "Wun lai" on the 19th

every one was out playing with water  till about midday when the heavens opened and very heavy rain for more than an hour

(if remember correctly) caused flooding, most of the water throwers gave up and went home..mother nature beat them at their own game.

I struggle to remember a Songkran when it didn't rain at least once.

Could be, I recall Songkran in 2000 there were heavy rains.    It also was hotter if I am remembering correctly.
