Trump pledged to remove millions of undocumented migrants as part of his aggressive immigration agenda. Yet immigrants are integral to the U.S. care workforce, accounting for 28 percent of workers in nursing homes and 32 percent in home care, according to nonpartisan organization KFF (formerly Kaiser Family Foundation).

 

"The crisis in the home care industry is here, whether the elected officials choose to acknowledge it or not. It's no secret that we have a shortage of workers in the care industry and that immigrants play a critical role in filling that gap," Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Secretary-Treasurer Rocío Sáenz told Newsweek.

It is not only impacting the "home care industry", but the entire health care industry, especially hospitals.  There have been reports of health care professionals working in US hospitals being arrested and deported.

They're deliberately confusing vetted legal immigrants with those who have come legally and found employment in the health care field. 

 

Personally, I don't want an unvetted illegal caring for my loved ones. 

 

I'd love to see them invite more and make the process easier for those with skills we need.  But not the ones that are going to end up costing (According to Mayor Adams) $36,000 a year per head.

Encounters do not mean they illegal immigrants were admitted or entered the country but indicate attempts to enter and were confronted or apprehended by ICE, so your claims are very suspect and need to be viewed in a proper context.

Despite the intent, I doubt Trump will match the 5 million illegal immigrants that Obama managed to deport repatriate, or the impressive Clinton tally of 12 million. Didn't appear to be a problem back in the day.

Using the same logic:

Thailand depends on workers from Myanmar in order to perform a lot of the low-paid, menial work that even Thais aren't interested in doing, so therefore all Myanmar citizens who are in Thailand illegally should get a pass from Immigration and all illegal immigration from Myanmar should be ignored "for the public good" of Thailand.  Right?

But here's reality:  If Myanmar citizen's want to work in Thailand, they apply for a visa, just like the rest of us.
Likewise: if foreigners wish to work in the US, apply for a visa.

I love you far-Left wing US-types who constantly promote illegal immigration into the US and vow to protect illegal migrants - all the while living in a country which has some of the most Machiavellian immigration laws in the world.  OP - shouldn't you be allowed to live in Thailand without a visa for the same reason that you promote about illegals living in the US?
