What is it about Trump that triggers you and causes you so much angst and unease

Going home each year for family visits one of the topics of conversations is always how much news time does Trump get.

Even during the Biden presidential years Trump got a daily 3 minute segment on the 6:30 pm news.  Always negative.

I would say the reason the liberals are foaming at the mouth is they are more susceptible to the propaganda.

Why?  An intentional diversion to keep the two party citizens fighting while the the politicians collect the $trillions of tax kitty and dole it out.

I remember when Trump married and the clintons and chuck schumer were clinking champagne glasses with big grins on their faces.  They looked like best buddies, partners even.

And then Trump understood that there were much more scam opportunities with Republicans and switched sides. :biggrin:i

So, what is it about Trump you like most?

He is definitely trying some new ideas and new ways of doing things. Not the same old ways of every other president.  On the tariffs and other economic things he has done I suggest giving him 6-12 months to see if they are working.  Factories and new jobs can't be made in a few months.  Elon Musk has opened the world's eyes showing how much corruption, theft, stupidity, and laziness can be easily found in most all branches of the US govt.  Sure, the media and people that were profiting from this are doing everything they can to make him look bad.  If half or more of his ideas work he will go down and one of the greatest recent presidents.  Give him time.    IMHO

Nothing. I don't really understand the obsession and hate he generates.  I just wish he'd come to the UK and start to clean up the mess hear

Come on Will. You're holding back. Get it off your chest. What about his hairstyle, his misogynistic views , his infantile lexicon. His disregard and ignorance of history. His total disrespect of long standing allies  but most of all , his dreadful ties. Let 'er rip Will.

Brother & sis popped over for a visit, mid February this year, and I don't think Trump was mentioned once.

If not for AN, Trump & USA, or the world actually, wouldn't enter my mind.  I like reading & writing, keeps brain active, though prefer everyday living (non politics), O&A, food, health, EV, drone & photography.

But I'm out of torrents  :coffee1:

How any of you can respect any of your govts is mind boggling.

I'm old enough to remember that the United States died with John F. Kennedy. It was palpable.

It's been downhill since then, and what is passed off as successive governments have been freak-shows of ever increasing intensity run by megalomaniacs and fools, albeit, megalomaniacs and fools who will undoubted wipe the rest of us off of the face of this planet to maximize their own hubris and lust for power.  In the West, diplomacy is dead.

He's not my president. I quite liked him when he got elected, despite the bitter taste, of what happened in January 2021...

But lately, as I am heavily invested in the U.S. stock markets, he has lost my sympathy.

What's also puzzling, in a thread where the only invited responses are supposed to be from people justifying their dislike of the man, is the rush of unpaid fans and supporters rushing to his defence, in much the same way as a Pavlovian dog, though without the endearing drool.

Which I find equally fascinating.

Harris as president, that was never going happen.  Her word salads were classic.

So true.  JFK wanted to end the Fed, and out of Nam ... and got bumped off for it.   A warning to all future puppets.
