Well she got to Tbilisi airport somehow and she was carrying 14kg of hash that she must have got from somewhere.

 

Perhaps it was Thailand and also perhaps the Thai customs tipped off customs in Georgia.

 

I have no idea, but at least 4 airlines fly to Georgia according to an internet search.

I was stopped at Amsterdam airport and had my luggage checked. The guy searching said they are targetting more Thailand flights, as the volume of Marijuana being smuggled is of the scale. 

 

Absolute rotten to the chore is Thailands repuatation. 

There are more Brits lingering around Thailand doing this sort of smuggling of marijuana back to the UK. 

 

Now that they know the flights from Thailand are being targetted, they tend to go through third countries to get the product through.

Yeah sorta, I have lived Thailand for 20+ years.

We used to carry loaded suitcases out of Don Muang stricly for fun and revolution.  😇 😊

 

(where incidently, in the 70's they used to give thorough bag searches to all /most departing passengers, and the penalty was a garanteed 20 years or worse) 

 

Nowadays it is just for the money - so it is not worth the risk like it used to be. 

Before you know it her family will be asking for donations for her legal fees.

Unfortunately alot of Brits in Thailand are doing this. Ask any of these social media darlings how they are earning in Thailand. It's always shady.

Yes I got pulled at Colombo Airport Sri Lanka the other month, I never normally do, custom officer asked to search my luggage, My reply, oh yer cause I've come from Thailand is it?, but you wont find any marijuana in there, I hate the stuff.

My backpack at Amsterdam didn't test positive  for any kind of drugs.   It tested positive for nitrocellulose explosives!   They asked me a couple of questions then let me continue to my gate.  

I stopped carrying that backpack on any aircraft and bought a new one, just for travel on aircraft.

From what I am getting out of the story, it appears she may have been acting as a "mule" for a drug trafficking operation—possibly manipulated through a romantic relationship or the promise of easy money.

She seems like a young person who has a close family and an easy life before her travels, but was likely naïve and didn’t fully consider the potential consequences if things went wrong.
