From their FB page, it just says they're sorry they're closed for one day today, no reason given, open again tomorrow.

The best in what sense? Variety, quality, price...

It's now the same as BIG C.

They used to carry unique and western products, but folks just have Brand loyalty for it , for some reason. Prices are the same.

It used to close when the princess went shopping...................I doubt that she needs all day though.

Handy 4 me....10 minutes walk 😜

The motorcycle parking is no longer "free"  as it had been for a while   so make sure you get your ticket stamped at the cashier.

I would largely agree except that I have had better steaks from Friendship than Makro, and cheaper liquor from Best.

But, overall, Friendship would be my go to store.

They also have specials that other supermarkets don't have. Butter and cheese and honey for example. They were the first to be selling Westgold butter at 80 baht for 250 grams. The big supermarkets followed up with BOGOF at 159 baht or just started at 119 or 129 baht each. They were selling Mainland cheese 500 gram packs for much the same as the price the big supermarkets charge for 250 grams. Honey is another thing. Thai honey at 56 baht where the big supermarkets charge 86 for the same thing.

A few here don't know what they are talking about when they insist they are the same as the big supermarkets. They are good in their own right.

Make up your mind as to what we are discussing. Of course we can all stay at home and order everything online.

When the original Friendship opened, it was so much better than Spinneys.

But there was Foodland....far far away 😊

Pretend I included Lazada in that short list, it's not difficult, I appreciate people like you go shopping for something to do

I recently went into Friendship and felt it had become identical to Foodland. I used to be a regular patron of Foodland for years in both Bangkok and Pattaya. However, now, the big players have got all the imported and specialty products so Big C or Tops it is.

Pretend that you included an online shopping portal in a list of bricks and mortar locations? I appreciate people like yourself have certain limitations for which the rest of us must give allowances.

Don't worry about it, he's special. When he doesn't have anything to say, he just hits the thumbs down emoji. Predictable.

Anyone who actually wants to drive on Pattaya Tai both ways, particularly these days, for a bit of shopping is also perplexing. If one can do the weekly shop on foot, or on a motorcycle, you could probably manage at a much closer 7-11.
