Where do I even start to address such an open-ended premise?  I love the light-heartedness of the average Thai person. I love their sense of humor and how easy it is to make them laugh.

Still low tax , 7 % vat or nothing at the markets.

Low energy prices , electric & diesel.

Low costs to drive .

Luktung, lukrung, morlam, kantrum, lare, phua chewit, ramwong, likay. The rest is boring, ordinary or slightly dangerous.

Bar girls.  Doesn't everyone?

I love the light-heartedness of the average Thai person.

I love their sense of humor and how easy it is to make them laugh.

I love the food, and the tropical weather.

I love the relatively low cost of living.

I love the friendliness of the women, and the ability to flirt with young and beautiful strangers.

I love the relative lack of stress.

I could literally go on for days about the number of things I love about this place. I just came back from over a month in America and I can attest the sour, humorless, bitterness, and disenfranchisement of the average American. The people have become in stressed out to the max, very unfulfilled, and living for nothing but money. It's a very, very low quality of life back there. Yikes.

Can say the same about the UK.

The people here are generally speaking better behaved than they are back home (UK) 😉

What's not to love mate..Thailand still a fantastic place to live, in fact after over 20 years am still happy here..food, ease of everything, no inflation...come on, it's still paradise..if you understand Thailand everything is great but get the entitled farangs trying to change it to their way are about the only problem I encounter.

My Thai wife

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things

Except for the South , moslims are invisible.

(maybe in some tourist areas too)

No religious threats here.

What's not to love, are you serious? Taxi mafia, dual pricing, filthy streets that smell like a sewer, soi dogs, poor service, ignorance, corruption, ridiculous beer and wine prices, tiered pricing at hospitals. You're insane if your consider those things to be "great".

Over six thousand have been killed here by Islamists in the past 25 years

If that's the best you can come up with Thailand is pretty great.

Taxi mafia!!!! Only in 1% of the country.

Dual pricing. Only on 1% of the average persons spend.

Beer price ridiculous? Not compared to most western countries.

Smell? Learn to love durian and the streets smell like an orchard 🤣

Hospitals still cheaper than the west by far.

Soi dogs. You have a point

But I'd happily put up with all that in exchange for not paying council/property tax.

I like the people here, but I generally like and get along well with people most everywhere I go.

If they like you many Thai girls will have sex on the first date.   Mostly unheard of in the west.
